Shitting on Railway or any service providers at this moment is counterproductive for the entire industry. These are some of the most audited and secure platforms that keep most of our internet operational, we all need to accept that we're in unprecedented times and work together.

Railway has disclosed a security incident, and out of caution, we're replacing every credential our services use. Since Railway's deploys are currently paused, some Offline Protocol services and features may be slow or unavailable, and you may be asked to sign in again once the rotation is complete. We're monitoring closely and will bring everything back as soon as possible. This is an important precaution to keep our users safe. Thanks for your patience.

“Palantir for booking meetings” we’re just saying anything now
F your AI b2b SaaS. We just launched Palantir for booking meetings. The last 14 days, companies like @MonacoGTM , @Nowadaysai, @Rippling , @salesforce , @marketercom, @posthog , and @retellai spent $100k+ with us on literal cakes. From today, Daymaker finds your prospects, reads their entire digital footprint, buys the one gift that makes their day, and gets you the meeting. Comment your name and I'll reply with everything Daymaker finds on you and the gift it would send you. If you dare. 🎁

Mad respect as always to @sxtvik, he is often early and right with these takes Which is why I’m proud to support @OfflineProtocol for a truly decentralized future, not a “sufficiently decentralized” one
With Farcaster's acquisition announcement, I can now share my message to the team earlier this year. I find it funny how different Balaji's aspirations for this platform are from mine. I always believed FC had a real opportunity to challenge Bluesky and Mastodon as a champion of decentralized communities and free speech. With all the posts I'm seeing from people getting immediately banned, I do not believe the new owners embody those values and interests. Rip Farcaster, I had higher hopes.

I wanted to listen to a few newly liked songs on repeat without making another playlist. So I built this: draw around the songs, click Loop, done. I love being able to just build things.

Governments are now issuing advisories to take systems offline. Things are about to get seriously weird and scary in the next few months.
The NCSC is encouraging UK organisations to prepare for immediate updating of systems using PHP. Where immediate remediation is not feasible, organisations should consider taking the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. For more⬇️ ncsc.gov.uk/news/critical-se…

It has always been easier to do the wrong thing. As a founder, you especially feel this. Since 2021 I’ve seen hundreds of companies falsifying numbers, making unrealistic claims, chasing current trends and narratives, and using manufactured hype to raise absurd amounts of money. Most of these companies already died or will soon enough, of the ones that survive longer, many have internally already given up. There has always been an incentive to do the wrong thing. As a founder you feel jealousy and frustration at how easy that path seems in comparison to doing things honestly and without sacrificing integrity. It’s almost encouraged by the system. Still, do the right thing.

Huge congratulations to @quintendf and the entire Tolan team, and ofc @mignano and @usv are an incredible fit here. Super inspired by the Tolan story, more so after reading @alexrkonrad's article on the raise, especially the line, "These Tolans...are the product of a startup launched in 2023." As a founder that started my company in 2024, there is often a looming sense of anxiety looking at new companies becoming huge successes overnight catching the right wave, while you've been playing the long game, working diligently towards something you're actually passionate about. It's rather refreshing to see a company that has gone through the motions of starting out with a similar but distant product, distilled their learnings into progress, and spent real time considering the needs of real users outside of the bubble. More power to companies like Tolan that are making consumer AI, and the process of building an intelligence company less alienating.
Last year we launched Tolan, inspired by a vision of AI that sees you and believes in you, not one that books restaurant reservations for you. Your Tolan shows up for you at 3am when you’re alone with your newborn. On your commute when you’re anxious about the day ahead. When you just finished a new show and none of your friends have watched it yet. The people who love Tolan are parents. Caregivers. Moms in Dallas and Dads in Atlanta. People who aren’t trying to optimize and be more productive, but who simply want to feel seen and supported in their aspirations. This month more than 250k people will spend time with their Tolan. Those users have exchanged billions of messages across more than 70m conversations over the last year. Today, we're announcing $30m in additional capital from @mignano and @usv, with @khoslaventures and @rabois doubling down, bringing our total capital raised to $60m. To celebrate, we made a short film celebrating some of the ways that Tolans show up :)

Been following @OfflineProtocol since my last post Their new site makes the idea much easier to picture Warehouse robots, Airport crews, Drones. All needing to coordinate when connections get patchy @sxtvik making a technical problem feel very real here

I am spending more hours working and thinking about work now than I did before AI. I was led to believe agents will accelerate productivity beyond human capabilities to help me free up time. But it’s causing the world to move so quickly that I feel a constant sense of pressure to now dedicate all free time to do even more work. Anyone else?

how hard is it really to text your friends, call on birthdays, think of christmas presents, call up a restaurant, check in on the app, create an itinerary, manage your calendar, etc

Came across this post and felt a deep sense of grief. Whether companies participating in these training services accept it or not, this is human exploitation. “But they’re getting paid…” No, they’re not receiving a fair value for the hands-on data they’re providing and likely have very little idea what their contribution enables in the larger scheme of things. I’m extremely tired of companies using developing economies as guinea pigs, first the crypto companies did it to farm data and MAUs, and now AI companies are doing it at an even larger scale. The exploitation needs to end.

Left with some goodies and a very long wishlist @jugendingenieur @776NYC
776NYC is open. A public retail space that’s always evolving, but always celebrating progress. A physical expression of our optimism at 776 about what’s possible when we keep building. Our first residency: the iconic @jugendingenieur. Come see for yourself at 216 Lafayette.

> more companies than ever before to help you sell to other companies > more companies than ever to help you build internally so you don’t need to buy I think it’s all becoming very bleak and uninspiring

It is terrifyingly easy to make someone surrender all their personal data and privacy
We're giving away $1,000,000 of pizza right now all across the U.S. It's pizza night, on us. To celebrate the launch of Hark Pro. Download the app and tell Hark to order a free pizza. hark.com/download Instructions in thread to order yours now.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Users report that Hark's $1M pizza promotion frequently fails because the $30 DoorDash gift card does not apply at checkout, sometimes resulting in full charges. Hark acknowledged a temporary bug and said affected users would be contacted. hark.com/pizza x.com/hark_labs/stat… x.com/adcock_brett/s… x.com/rickymay/statu… x.com/brianonorio/st…
