The reason communism never dies is because envy never dies, and communism is little more than the politics of resentment - it is the desire to take from others and give to yourself, because you believe they have too much when you don’t have enough. It is really this simple.
No one cares Omar.
Hey @BlueJays. Some free PR advice.
Your statement yesterday was garbage. Put out a new one with an unequivocal apology to Toronto’s Muslims (over 10 percent of the population). Make it clear that your organization has no room for Islamophobia or Islamophobes. Make it clear that Santander won’t be allowed back unless he apologizes and commits to Muslim community outreach.
We won’t let this story go away otherwise.

Not to sound like a hippie, but it's not the end of the world if a Tim Hortons can't immediately find staff or a landlord can't immediately find tenants.
Liberals claim to hate slogans and then vote for this guy who speaks in nothing but empty metaphors and slogans.
Carney is already out of breath after a flight of stairs. Then comes the real workout: avoiding a straight answer.
How do the US midterms affect his approach to the United States?
Apparently, that’s his cue for a budget sales pitch.
“We are masters of our own destiny.”
Says the man who wants Canada under the EU’s umbrella.
More independence… by tying us closer to Brussels?
Asked about Washington. Selling us Brussels. Calling it sovereignty.
Do you actually expect Canadians to swallow that?
Every few months Coyne makes some mild criticism of the liberal government and people are like “he’s finally getting it”.
No, he’s not.
Andrew Coyne is bothered by Budget 2026
“They took that revenue windfall, that spending windfall, and they spent virtually all of it. At a time when economists are practically begging them, would you please get serious about the deficit and the debt.”
“There’s very little on the productivity front. It’s just more or less the same as that last budget last year, which was such a disappointment.”
“The issue is it’s got to all add up… in a half a trillion dollar budget [you should] find savings elsewhere.” @acoyne
It’s never been about what’s best for the Canadians that are already here.
Prime Minister Mark Carney is facing growing pressure from business groups to allow more immigration to address Canada’s labor needs, but the prospect of welcoming more migrants carries political risk for him bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

🇨🇦 CANADA IS LOSING JOBS. ITS YOUNG PEOPLE ARE PAYING THE PRICE.
Statistics Canada’s latest economic review reveals:
📉 110,000 fewer jobs in just TWO months.
💼 71,000 full-time positions lost.
🎓 67,000 fewer young Canadians employed.
📊 Youth unemployment: 13%.
🇨🇦 National unemployment: 6.5%.
Here’s the uncomfortable question for Ottawa:
What exactly does a stronger economy mean to a 23-year-old who can’t find work, afford rent, or save for a home?
You can announce investments, celebrate GDP and hold press conferences.
But you cannot build a prosperous country without creating opportunities for the next generation.
An economy that grows without creating opportunity is not delivering prosperity where it matters most.

I’m tired of seeing posts from people who are too lazy to answer the door and greet trick-or-treaters, acting like they’re shocked that someone took all the candy from their bowl.
Be a part of your community, quit hiding behind closed doors and security cameras.

One thing you never actually hear the American politicians running in the midterms talk about is Canada. On either side.
This is what Mark Carney wants to bring us closer to. The liberals don’t care about democracy.
Europe has developed a pretty interesting definition of “protecting democracy.”
🇷🇴 Romania annulled a presidential election after Călin Georgescu finished first, then barred him from the rerun.
🇭🇺 Hungary’s new government rewrote the constitution with retroactive limits that block Viktor Orbán from becoming PM again and later approved rules barring long-serving MPs from the next parliamentary election.
🇩🇪 Germany’s domestic intelligence service classified the AfD as extremist, opening the door to much heavier surveillance of the country’s biggest opposition party.
🇫🇷 France upheld Marine Le Pen’s conviction, kept restrictions on her political future and ordered her to wear an electronic ankle tag.
🇪🇸 In Spain, more than a dozen people tied to Pedro Sánchez’s political and personal circle have been investigated or prosecuted in separate corruption cases, while Sánchez himself has not been charged.
🇬🇧 Britain postponed local elections during a sweeping reorganization of local government, triggering a petition accusing the government of voter suppression.
🇵🇱 And now Poland has police surrounding its Constitutional Tribunal while the government and opposition accuse each other of trying to seize control of the court.
The real red line in Europe may not be democracy... It may be leaving the club.

Carney can wait. Canadians can’t.
Why does he only give interviews to US outlets?
Carney says he can wait out Trump for trade deal politi.co/4knKnSL
Carney went from being “the only man who could deal with Trump”, to “let’s just wait it out a few years”.
What a stunning failure this man is.
We spoke to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney about whether he's willing to wait out Donald Trump's term as president before signing a new trade deal with the U.S.
"We're not going to lock in something that's not in Canada's interest."

If Canada is serious about our best and brightest leaving for the U.S. (huge numbers did last year), we need to stop overtaxing & overspending.
An engineer who makes US-$200K would pay 53% in Ontario or BC versus 35% in Washington, 46% in Cali or 35% in Texas. Not competitive.

It’s pretty amazing what our countries can accomplish when we work together.
On this day in 1942, the Alaska Highway was completed. Through cooperation between Canada and the USA, the 2,700 km highway took only 8 months and 12 days to build.
