As a Rio Grande Valley native, I relate to this so much. I think everyone from the RGV does. It’s why we band together like this. Having Harlingen South and Weslaco playing for state softball championships today runs deeper than anyone outside the RGV will ever know.

History made for the Rio Grande Valley as @whssoftball00 Weslaco wins the 1st ever @uiltexas softball state championship for a RGV school by scoring 8 runs in the bottom of the 7th with a walkoff grand slam by Andrea Ortiz to beat Waco Midway 11-9.
