JPMorgan settled for $290M with Epstein’s victims after years of banking a known sex offender and ignoring red flags. The 2024 Romanian court sent the original Tate case back over procedural flaws it did not clear them. They now face a new Romanian indictment (trafficking minors, sex with a minor) plus 50+ UK charges including multiple rapes and child image offenses. Currently in US custody fighting extradition after bail was denied. Procedural setbacks are not the same as a bank paying out for enabling a convicted predator.
