Be honest. You changed the title because you are total drips and didn’t have the courage to say no to a handful of mad Americans.

This has happened because female cyclists, supported by their male colleagues and athletes from other sporting disciplines, and with information about their rights, the law (and a bit of science), came together to demand they be heard.

Ujah tested positive for two SARMs, a newish type of drug that tries to give the effects of anabolic steroids (bigger muscles; faster recovery etc) with fewer side-effects.
Good overview of SARMs if you want the nerdy details: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/article…

Not many athletes test positive *during* a big competition. Testing procedures are (mostly) known, drug half-lives are known, you know you'll be tested.
So dopers ease off the juice before big events.
One expert described in-competition testing to me as "basically an IQ test"

47 athletes had medals stripped for doping after the Beijing Olympics in 2008. 40 after London 2012. Only 4 (so far!) from Rio 2016.
And now possibly the first from #Tokyo2020

@aiu_athletics say CJ Ujah, who won silver in the men's 4x100m, has tested positive for ostarine and S-23. Both are SARMs - a newish class of drug that aims to similar benefits to anabolic steroids with fewer side-effects
