Just did a release of the smart_trim module moving it up to semantic versioning and adding D10 support. Removed support of the 8.x version but there were no security issues. drupal.org/project/smart_tri…

Smart Trim

Enables a "smart trimmed" option which lets you control trim length, trim measurement (characters or words), optional suffix, displaying optional "More" link and removing HTML tags.
