Sometimes you have to pay attention to the way someone speaks and understand this is someone thrashing about in pain, and even if they hit you, (and you've been hit thousands of times before just because others can get away with it), it doesn't mean everyone will.
5. In doing so, we cannot deny the pain of others. Even if there is no 'personal benefit', even if other traumatized people lash out at you and try to wield your oppression against you. Refusing to acknowledge transmisogyny would make us no better than cys men and women.
4. The lesson to take from seeing women comfort and heal together is not that it's only possible for them. Or only possible by staying closeted. We have to give it to ourselves. As for anyone who can't stand to acknowledge the reality of our struggles, the fault lies in them.
3. Everyone grows into an adult. We all move from a position of vulnerability into a position of power. And back again. This shift occurs many times in every person's life. There's not a single person whose entire life story you can understand by looking at them.
And 2. People who do acknowledge their own pain in themselves, but do not understand children as an oppressed class and are stubbornly incurious about transgender experiences, are not worth convincing.
Something I've heard tmascs express grief over is losing inherent acknowledgement of (or solidarity over) the pain of childhood once they're seen as grown men and I'd argue that 1. Women aren't actually given much space to process it in broader society
