The SEMA Show is a parts and accessories spectacle where vehicles are the canvas for creative expression. Automakers have used the massive Las Vegas summit as a test bed for intriguing concepts that often inspire real products down the line. It also has been a prime launching pad for accessory-packed production models, reaching an audience that takes pride in customizing their vehicles. SEMA allows brands to stretch their legs with bold designs that don’t fit traditional auto shows, to engage with enthusiasts, and to highlight lucrative parts and accessories that can pad the bottom line. Automakers see the event, running Nov. 3-6, as a valuable stage. “With auto shows, you can have a little bit of pop and a little bit of flair, but nothing too outlandish, nothing too unrealistic,” Owen Peacock, general manager of Toyota marketing, told Automotive News. “But when you get to SEMA, the gloves are off. You can go as big as you want because it is playing in that world of wonder and imagination more than a typical auto show.” #SEMA #SEMA2026 #automotive #autoindustry #SEMAshow2026

@EdgeCaseRes has completed an independent assessment of our driverless safety case framework, finding it demonstrates a level of rigor and thoroughness consistent with industry best practices. The review evaluated our framework’s structure, completeness and alignment with standards including UL 4600. Independent assessment is a key part of how we’re building trust as we scale autonomous ride-hail. maymobility.com/posts/edge-c…

FMVSS 135 expects service brakes actuated by a foot control. That made sense decades ago. But what about a vehicle never meant to be driven by a human? Engineers: which other requirements still assume a driver? #AutonomousVehicles #FMVSS
