This is just straight out bad advice. This is the regular kind of content that people consume because it assumes that everything will be all flowers and pixie dust. My response to this? The issue with advice like this is that whilst sure - you can grow traffic, at what point does it become unsustainable? Sites following this kind of practice were often ones clouted by helpful content updates. It's not just as easy as producing 1000 words of content. It's factoring in who the target audience are, what are their needs, how to orientate the content around their needs, how to measure the impact of that content and how to maintain it over time. Personally, people should focus on building content that supports their offering - getting into a sustainable cycle of maintaining pre-existing content and producing topically relevant content split into 2 segments: Content that's on a topic that sustains demand vs Content that's part of a shorter term lifecycle i.e. news content The easy route nearly always becomes the hardest - when you get wiped out by HCU and have to delete 5 years worth of daily efforts. There's just SO SO much advice out there that's written from the perspective of JUST DO THIS and IT'S THAT EASY. So people follow it.
