The 45-year-old man, who was not named but is from Portsmouth, defied the astonishing odds of 249,345-1 to win big on this weekend's English Football League matches when a 12-fold accumulator netted him a return of £997,385.
The punter bet just £4 that 12 matches on Saturday would have over 11.5 corners each and his accumulator delivered a mammoth payout, with the winner only becoming aware of his success after the final whistles had blown.
