June 6, 1944. Today, we mark the anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy. 14,000 Canadians stormed Juno Beach, showing unparalleled bravery in the face of fierce resistance. 359 Canadians made the ultimate sacrifice that day.
We stand in silent gratitude for the heroes who broke through the Atlantic Wall and paved the path to liberation.

Today May 5th, 2026 marks the 81st anniversary of Liberation Day of the Netherlands during the Second World War.
The First Canadian Army began the offensive to liberate Holland in 1944. Canadian Air Servicemen flew humanitarian Food Air Drops for the starving Dutch people through the Winter of 1944/1945 while providing Air Support for Canadian Troops on the ground. By Spring of 1945 after decisive battles through the Rhineland, the 1st Canadian Army had Hitler’s Third Reich in Retreat or Surrender. Canadian 🇨🇦soldiers walked into Amsterdam on May 5th, 1945 signalling the end of Nazi occupation of the Netherlands🌺✝️
