Last Friday @WIPO #sccr43 the EU has finally accepted to do text-based work on #copyright exceptions for education, research and CH preservation.
It’s not a treaty, but 10y after Marrakesh, it’s a major win for @communia_eu & the #A2KCoalition.

The EU copyright framework is ambiguous and overly complicated 😵💫
Many #knowledge institutions have to change/abandon projects or risk breaching some ambiguous rule.
These institutions deserve better - let's shelter them from liability!
