There is a lot of lobbying on this platform this morning for poor people to starve, be homeless and not to be a burden on the population.
I’m sorry, that doesn’t cut the mustard with me.
If people cannot afford to shop in your business, now or in the future, then you are not doing your job.
My grandad worked at Ford. He was motivated by the good wage at the time and by the fact that he could then buy a ford. That’s the template.
So the Chancellor has indicated he is going to increase the minimum wage by nearly 4% In Wednesday’s budget. This is terrible news for employment. If you make it more expensive to employ people, fewer people will be employed. It’s as simple as that.

These are the same people who traditionally vote @reformparty_uk and @RestoreBritain
Both offer an array of inflation busting tax cuts.
But inflation all of a sudden isn’t an issue when it comes to tax, only when it comes to poor people being paid properly.
If the argument is to reduce business burdens, let’s have it.
Let’s lobby for a temporary VAT cut
Let’s lobby for lower NI Contributions
Let’s replace the business rates entirely with a commercial landowner levy, encouraging the doers
Let’s reduce red tape
Let’s give an option for a temporary pensions contribution reduction for committing to employing 18-21 year olds
Let’s not suppress wages. Suppressing wages just means an increased burden on the benefits bill.

What I find interesting about this the most, is that Reform zealots take Zia Yusufs word as gospel. As if they are stone wall facts that in of itself do not warrant scrutiny.

If I was Reform and did not care about due process, I would go into detail and undermine the investigation. I won’t.
High level is this: reported to police != crime being committed. A tv programme!= evidence being used authentically and in context. I could say more but due process.
I suspect we now need the police to do their job and investigate without fear or favour

It may be part of a solution but it is a red herring. How we set up goes much deeper than formation.
