The safety of women in the country, whether in sports or otherwise, is a known challenge for authorities, and something even our PMs have repeatedly acknowledged. So any Indian who is in disagreement with premise of this article is a straight up liar, and a part of the problem.
Several new stadiums are emerging in different cities in India, but how safe are they really for women travelling to and from late-night games?
@swaris16 looks at a subject that rarely gets the attention it deserves.

People in the replies accusing the author of being anti-India rather than discussing the actual issue. Paint me surprised!

As always, replies by insecure Desi dudes are pretty much making the point of the article.

I can’t believe people are mad abt this video because these are…normal teenage kid brands? Miniso, H&M, BB&W, a cute T-shirt from a high street brand? Ya there’s a Chanel no5 which is a v classic ‘this is your first grown up perfume’. Birthdays are meant to be fun, you killjoys!

Dhoni gave some really solid, straightforward advice. If you haven’t heard it yet, definitely give it a listen. It’s not just for Gen Z, but for people of all ages. This advice is especially relevant in today’s time.

We spent months investigating the inner working of the EC.
What we found: the majority of the Commission, kept in the dark for almost a year.
Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi objected on record at least 14 times in 10 months, FOUR times on a single day, to decisions taken in the Commission's name without their knowledge.
Here is what they flagged:

14 defects in a petition is clearly graver concern for national media than 13 crore deletions in electoral list.

The Election Commission of India is under fire like never before.
The SIR has struck 13 crore names off draft rolls, putting the EC at the centre of intense public debate over its role in deciding who gets to vote — and who doesn’t.
HOWEVER, what nobody knew: through that same period, some of the sharpest questions were being asked from inside.
Out today, after months of work. Our #ExpressInvestigation 🧵

Replying to @DelhiPolice
So, you are saying that protests are a bad behaviour and rented goons molesting women is a good behavior?

India is my country, and I will not leave it, come what may. There was pride when I used to say it. There was gratitude, hope, and belief that whatever be the wrongs of this country, we will make it right. But I will stay here.
India, I love you. You have given me the best of education, money, a good life, freedom - everything. I shouldn’t have been here. Everything was possible because India was run through systems that created opportunities for me.
But everything I have seen in the last few years is slowly fading away that pride. Two men have systematically everything that was good about this country. Institution after institution. This country doesn’t feel safe for anyone. I feel scared for my parents, I feel scared for my partner, I feel scared for myself.
I’m sorry for hijacking the author (Jaanvi’s) sentiments here but I just had to say how strongly do I resonate with it. This constant fear, this feeling that the collective conscience of India now favours the wrongdoers, that ordinary Indians are not allowed to have a voice anymore - my heart is full, I am honestly done.
It was a promise I made as a little kid and I will stand by it. I will not leave this country. Not for money, not for a better life, nothing allures me. But at this point, I’m really not sure till when can I actually hold onto that inner voice that tells me otherwise.
India, I really love you. Please give me another reason to. Please give me hope. Jai Hind 🇮🇳 Inquilab zindabad!

"There are real issues in the country that no one talks about."
Apparently, electoral fraud & systematic dilution of constitutional checks & autonomous bodies isn't an issue worth discussing. Fine. Scrap the elections, make Modi the king & then we can discuss 'real issues'.

In 2000, it was the Delhi police who cracked open match-fixing in cricket and nailed Hansie Cronje, which led to a worldwide cull.
In 2026, a convicted match-fixer is cheering the Delhi police on to inflict violence on peaceful protestors.
What a fall.
