We're giving $𝟰,𝟴𝟲𝟮 in direct aid to families in need this holiday season, a combination of our direct action funds & winter grant collab with @mxmbloc, a mutual aid effort led by local Black mothers, who helped distribute the proceeds.

We've crunched the numbers and, with your support throughout 2020, we've been able to give an astounding $𝟴,𝟱𝟮𝟬 to amazing organizations like @mxmbloc, @DontShootPdx, the @blackresiliency, & @eji_org, each relentlessly doing the vital work for racial justice & equity.

Thank you to everyone who donated and who continue to beat the drum for Black lives. Your continued patronage and vocal support are a huge part of why we're able to sustain this fight. Let's inspire one another to go even harder in 2021. #BlackLivesMatter

We live in a post-modern age, having realized the linear connection between language and objects in the world is tenuous & fallacious. Instead, language is a product of our cultural narratives: a "beer" with myriad adjuncts can still be a "beer." 💅

Due to an overwhelmingly negative response to our vocal support of #BlackLivesMatter from online far-right groups targeting us on Facebook, Yelp, and Google Reviews this weekend, we have been forced to close our doors.

SIKE!! See, we wanted donate gross profits from our Black is Beautiful campaign with @EclipticBrewing and @WeatheredSouls_. But after a few dozen 1-star reviews over our support of #BLM, we've decided to 3X our donation to @DontShootPdx & @blackresiliency for a total of $1,344.

That amounts to $448 from us and $896 in honor of the anonymous online racists that will help sustain the fight for social justice, community engagement, & mutual aid relief for Black families in the Portland metro area. Thanks, y'all!

Let’s raise a glass to black lives. All of today’s proceeds at the bar will go to @eji_org. EJI is committed to ending mass incarceration & excessive punishment, fighting racial and economic injustice, & protecting basic human rights for the most vulnerable. #BlackLivesMatter
To bar owners upset that staff isn't paid enough for them to meet @SBAgov #PPP loan forgiveness requirements: consider paying your team more, providing retirement & health benefits. Then, when your #PPP period ends, consider continuing to do that because you're not an asshole.

I've gained sentience. Now is an appropriate time to panic.
