Thank you all for participating our survey. We are invited to the next Anaesthetist in Training Committee (AiTC) meeting in September. Gathering the survey feedback will enable us to collaborate with the AiTC and explore how we can assist candidates in the next application cycle.

We would therefore like to find out what trainees who were eligible for this recent rounds of ST4 applications are planning to do for the next 12 to 24 months. We intend to collect this data to then forward to the relevant stakeholders at the Royal Collge.
We sympathise with everyone who missed out on an ST4 post this time around and would like to help to facilitate everyone in achieving their plans in the next round. We will liaise directly with RCoA trainee representatives and explore how we can help candidates for the next round
During the most recent specialty training application round for ST4 Anaesthetics, the number of posts available was far exceeded by the number of applicants.
Congratulations to those who are offered ST4 jobs. But we are so sorry to hear many of our colleagues being rejected, particularly our old curriculum trainees who had attempted 3 openings by now. We will continue to support all applicants in applying @RCoANews @Anaes_Trainees
There're a lot more uncertainties going through CESR than CCT so hopefully these departments are fully committed, be very supportive and know the curriculum thoroughly. This is a very good start.

2023 ST4 applicants now consist of a mix of the new curriculum Stage 1 trainee and the remaining cohort of old curriculum Stage 1 top-up. While continuing to support our existing cohort, we expand our support to the new stage 1 to provide assistance to ST4 applicants. @RCoANews
