Today we celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints. In Catholic tradition, All Saints’ Day is a solemnity that commemorates the entire Church in heaven — the “cloud of witnesses” mentioned in Hebrews 12:22–24 . This day is not just about the famous saints that we have all heard of, but the countless unnamed souls who lived holy lives and now enjoy the beatific life. Listen to Anthony Di Mauro of The Relic Project explain why relics matter and how they help us grow closer to the saints and to Jesus. TUNE IN today to learn about Saints Simon and Jude from Father Thiago Gomes of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, October 28, on The Morning Quest The Church honors Saints Simon and Jude, two of the Twelve Apostles chosen by our Lord. They were two of the first bishops through whom our Lord established His Church and from whom every bishop, priest, and deacon is a spiritual descendant. Very little is known about these two Apostles, other than what is briefly mentioned about them in the New Testament, and even that is a little confusing. They are both listed among the Twelve whom Jesus names Apostles: Matthew 10:2–4; Mark 3:16–19; Luke 6:13–16; Acts 1:13. Want to learn more about the saints? Listen to Josh and Allison on The Morning Quest as they talk about the saint of the day, weekdays @8-9 AM.
