New in CodeRabbit Secure: Deep Scan now follows a vulnerability across your linked repos, then replays the exploit in a throwaway sandbox to prove it's real before it flags anything. Hendrik walks through this and everything else in the new update:

Claude Code found 145,763 photos I permanently deleted from my iPhone. Three years of deleted photos and videos still sitting in a hidden cache. Any app with file access can read them. I plugged my iPhone into my MacBook to run a backup. Claude Code was doing the security audit from my last post and flagged a directory I wasn't even looking for. PhotoData/Thumbnails. Over 146,000 files. Photos, videos, screenshots. Every single one was something I deleted. Photos from 2023, 2024 and 2025. The ones I deleted the second after taking them. The ones I cleared from Recently Deleted. The ones I deleted three separate times because I wanted to be sure they were gone. All still there. Passport photo I took for a visa application in 2023. Screenshots of my bank app with full account numbers visible. Private photos I sent someone and immediately deleted after a breakup. Screenshot of my crypto seed phrase I took temporarily in 2022. Photo of my ID and credit card I took to remember the numbers and deleted 5 seconds later. Screenshots of my ex's private Instagram stories I saved and permanently deleted in 2023. Some were full resolution. All organized by date going back to 2021. When you delete a photo on iPhone, iOS removes it from your camera roll and Recently Deleted. It keeps a compressed copy in a Spotlight search index cache so your phone can find things when you search. Apple never clears it. Not after 30 days. Not after a year. Never. They told you it was permanently deleted. It wasn't. I checked which apps on my phone had Files and Folders access. 23 apps. Weather apps. QR code scanners. PDF readers. A flashlight app I downloaded in 2022. Any one of them could have been reading every photo I ever deleted this entire time. Went from 23 apps to 3 in about two minutes. Full step by step below. Takes 2 minutes. Save it so you don't lose it and send it to anyone with an iPhone. Follow @julia_coder_ for more content like this❤️

Most AI coding demos stop at “here’s the code.” MiniMax Code kept going with its latest M3.1 Flash model: it built the game, tested the gameplay, fixed bugs, and iterated inside the same workflow. I gave it one simple idea: Build me a playable adveranturous pixel-style game from scratch. What caught my attention wasn’t just that it generated the game. I could actually watch MiniMax Code work on the project, open the result in its built-in browser, test it, and then make changes to the same project based on my instructions, it also tests the gameplay itself, and catches bugs. For example, I could ask it to change the gameplay or UI, and it would go back into the project and implement the changes. That browser + coding workflow is what made it feel different from simply asking an AI to generate a piece of code. You can actually see the agent build, test, and iterate on the project. It’s like having an autonomous dev partner who builds, tests, and refines alongside you. Now in MiniMax Code you can build daily workflows with its latest M3.1 Flash model, and get 400 free credits every day. Try it cuz it's worth it.

GitHub has free alternatives to almost every tool you're paying for. I found 10 repos that can wipe $500/month off your software bill. steal this stack: 1. github.com/AppFlowy-IO/Ap… Replaces: Notion ($10–15/user/month). The closest open-source clone of Notion there is. Docs, wikis, databases, kanban boards, calendar views, and a real desktop app, all local-first so your workspace lives on your machine instead of someone's cloud. Drop a non-technical teammate in front of it and they're productive in 20 minutes. 60K+ stars. 2. github.com/nocodb/nocodb Replaces: Airtable ($20–45/user/month). Point it at a database and it becomes a slick spreadsheet with grid, gallery, form, and kanban views, row permissions, automations, and a REST API. Everything Airtable does, on a database you own. Scales to real teams without the per-seat bleed. 50K+ stars. 3. github.com/knadh/listmonk Replaces: Mailchimp ($13–100+/month and climbing with list size). A self-hosted newsletter and mailing-list manager that handles millions of subscribers on a single server. Mailchimp punishes you for growing your list. Listmonk charges you the cost of the box it runs on. One binary, done. 16K+ stars. 4. github.com/calcom/cal.diy Replaces: Calendly ($12–16/user/month). The MIT community edition of Cal. com, split off in 2026 when the main project went closed. Booking pages, team scheduling, reminders, payment links, all self-hosted and yours. The full Calendly experience with no monthly seat fee. 48K+ stars. 5. github.com/formbricks/for… Replaces: Typeform ($29+/month). Beautiful surveys and forms, plus in-app surveys that fire based on what users actually do, all self-hosted so the responses never leave your server. Typeform charges per response once you grow. This doesn't. 10K+ stars. 6. github.com/activepieces/a… Replaces: Zapier (bills per task, climbs fast). Connect your apps and automate entire workflows with a clean visual builder and hundreds of integrations, running on your own server with no per-action fee. The automation tax every growing business quietly pays, deleted. 15K+ stars. 7. github.com/outline/outline Replaces: Confluence and Notion for team wikis ($5–11/user/month). The most polished self-hosted knowledge base there is. Slash commands, nested pages, real-time editing, full-text search, and a proper API. The team wiki that feels like Notion but runs on infrastructure you control. 33K+ stars. 8. github.com/makeplane/plane Replaces: Linear and Jira ($8–15/user/month). A clean, fast project tracker with issues, sprints, cycles, and roadmaps, self-hostable with no per-seat cost. Linear killed its free tier and tightened limits. Plane gives small teams the same flow for the price of a server. 30K+ stars. 9. github.com/documenso/docu… Replaces: DocuSign (billed per envelope, $10–25/month). Upload a PDF, drop signature fields, send, and get back a sealed document with a full audit trail, all self-hosted and legally compliant. The per-signature fee just stopped existing. 13K+ stars. 10. github.com/chatwoot/chatw… Replaces: Intercom and Zendesk ($74+/agent/month). A full customer-support suite, live chat, shared inbox, help center, and bots across email, WhatsApp, and socials. The per-agent pricing on the paid tools punishes you for every hire. Chatwoot runs on your server with no seat tax. 20K+ stars. Add it up: that's well past $500 a month, gone. The only bill left is the server they all run on.
