In the bullish MSS examples, a wick can validate an order block while the structure shift still needs a close through its own reference. Write down both tests before treating one as the other.

When price reaches your objective, observe the reaction and the close. Reaching the level does not decide between continuation and rejection. That is the next question for the plan.
Before calling a range efficient, name the delivery you are studying. Then check whether both sides were served within that range. Candles outside your chosen delivery can change the question.
In your trade review, record the rule you followed alongside the result. A loss gives you something specific to study when you can say what qualified the entry and what happened afterward.
Before calling a down candle an order block, point to the low and the sell-side liquidity taken beneath it. A rally after the candle does not answer that question.
A daily direction and an objective can be clear while the entry is still missing. Write the condition that would turn your idea into a setup. Until it appears, the plan can stay a plan.
On a release day, name the close you need before the print. If that close appears, you have a decision. If it does not, waiting is still the plan. The headline is not the entry.
If your lower time frame idea depends on an hourly level, check what that hour does after price taps it. The smaller pattern does not replace that check.
When a gap sits inside a short idea, check whether your higher time frame view was already bearish. A gap mark is not a substitute for that view. One chart's reading is not a result you can assume next time.
The same liquidity run is not one name. A close beyond the pool is the order-block candidate here. No close beyond it, with the last open or close still inside the pool, is the rejection example. Check the close first.
An order block can sit near an imbalance and still be a different test. Name the liquidity event for the block, and name the delivery for the imbalance. One mark does not earn both labels.
To check whether both sides were served, ask whether a body from the other side passed the open you named and closed beyond it. Consecutive candles on one side do not answer that question.
Bullish daily order flow, in this definition, is delivery above down-candle highs rather than their lows. Bearish is delivery below up-candle lows rather than their highs. Say which side you are actually seeing.
The close-through-the-reference rule comes from the bullish structure-shift examples. Do not copy it onto a short until that bearish case has its own check. An unverified mirror is not the rule.
If the down leg has no imbalance to frame the shift, watch that leg's low and ask for a close above it. Do not call every broken high a structure shift. The reference comes from the chart in front of you.
In the bullish examples, the structure shift is the context and the order block is a structure inside it. An isolated down candle in a still-bearish delivery is not that context. Check the close through the reference first.
Closing beyond the liquidity extreme makes an order-block candidate in this model. Validation is a later move through the side furthest from that close. Do not skip from the candle shape to an entry.
