Personal update: I’m moving to Mexico City. Just kidding (I wish) - but I did just get back from an end-of-year trip there and LOVED it. It reminded me that the best trips aren’t about doing everything. They’re about slowing down and letting yourself just live somewhere for a bit. Less planning = more fun. Some of my favorite activities: - Coffee on the apartment balcony while the city woke up along Paseo de la Reforma - Wandering into cafés in Juárez and ordering banana pancakes (insanely delicious) - Walking way longer than planned through different neighborhoods and popping into a bookstore in Polanco “for five minutes” (never five minutes) - Biking through Bosque de Chapultepec and forgetting I was in one of the biggest cities in the world - Ending nights in Roma Norte, including one long dinner at a cozy spot with a visiting Puerto Rican chef A big reason the trip felt so easy was having a real home base. I stayed in a Blueground apartment and it made everything simpler - central, light-filled, great amenities, and cafés + restaurants everywhere. It’s like I was a true resident of the city instead of just a tourist passing through. I really love traveling and seeing the world, especially when it slows me down and helps me reset.
