Roger Federer is the best tennis player I’ve ever seen 🎾 | Federer | Sampras |

With Alcaraz losing tonight, that keeps the streak alive of no player having defended the US Open title since 2008.. it shows how hard it is to do and yet Federer did it 5 straight times from 2004-2008.. Federer 🐐

Sorry but this right here is why Pete Sampras has now become severely UNDERRATED 14 total Grand Slams 13 of those majors before the age of 30.. Which is more than every player in history apart from Federer and Nadal 90% win rate at Wimbledon and 89% win rate at the US Open. • 7-0 in Wimbledon finals • 40-2 on Wimbledon centre court 20-14 record vs Agassi 16-4 record vs Courier 12-7 record vs Becker 12-4 record vs Rafter • Youngest ever player to win the US Open (19 years and 28 days) and did so by beating 3 top 10 players.. Retired at age 31 right after winning his 14th and final slam. What are we talking about??

You know tennis is completely dead when even indoor matches are slow as fuck.. What an utter disgrace this is.

This whole narrative that Federer couldn’t beat Nadal so therefore he isn’t better is such rubbish.. Was it the single worst matchup for Federer as he was a single hander? Yes. And even with that, the h2h outside of clay is 14-10 to Federer :)

Basilashvili is so fun to watch, he’s always been one of those players who when it clicks in a tournament is always gonna be hard to beat, just 100% aggression at all times.. don’t think I’ve ever seen a match of his where he hasn’t controlled the play, it’s almost always on his racket. His backhand is an absolute weapon. Will be hard to stop in the final.

Hell of a career 👏 One of the more underrated shot makers in tennis and in my opinion, one of the best double handed backhands ever, could do absolutely whatever he wanted with it. Super fun to watch, small guy but geez he could crack a ball and always took the ball so early.. • Wins over Federer, Djokovic, Nadal, Alcaraz, Wawrinka • 7-3 h2h over Them • 5-4 h2h over Cilic Reached #7 in the world at the end of 2017, and in the early part of 2018, he was close to getting to #3 in the world. All the best for what’s next 🙏 @David__Goffin
All the emotions 🥲 Congrats on an amazing career, David Goffin! #BNPPFEuropeanOpen

When Federer went all out attack against prime Djokovic in 2014 SFs of Shanghai.. Just absolutely incredible hitting, anytime you had Fed on a court that was semi fast, he would just dominate, didn’t matter who was infront of him. Amazingly, Djokovic hit 18 winners in the 2nd set and still lost it 6-4, that’s how good Federer was 🔥

He’s absolutely spot on btw.. he has gotten hate for it, but he’s completely correct. The balls now are that heavy and slow that you don’t even have to have any racket talent AT ALL in order to win matches and make a good career out of tennis. These days so many more pushers are winning matches because they can just sit back, grind, get that extra ball back, and they know it’ll take 4-5 very good shots to get past them, not because they are great defenders, but because the balls are that fucking slow and heavy.. it’s painful to watch, and if you are fit and can hit a ball at an average level you can make the top 100, that shouldn’t be the case.. you should have a good skill set to make the worlds top 50-100. The tactics of the game have been completely shut out and it’s the balls that are the reason for that, and until they are changed and go back to what balls we’re like for years and years, I’m afraid we will continue to see players get injured (due to the unnecessary long rallies) and you’ll see top players rest at more bigger tournaments. I don’t care if I sound like I’m sooking, I don’t give a fuck, tennis is the greatest sport in the world and it’s turning into a joke. Keep speeding the word brother, real tennis fans can see what a joke the balls have become @Taylor_Fritz97
Fritz. "These balls... once they get used... it's miserable to try to finish a point. It's so tough. Thank god at least the courts are quicker this year."

38 year old Mannarino out here beating top 10 players and we are supposed to somehow think it’s not the weakest era ever??? “The players of today are better”
First Top 10 win of the season 🕺 Mannarino makes it past 6th seed Cobolli, 6-1 4-6 6-3! @AdrianMannarino #RolexShanghaiMasters

Well considering this is only from 2009, when Fed was already 28 years of age, it’s hardly surprising

Instead of mocking Djokovic, how about try beating him? You are a top 5 player in the world and still can’t beat a 39 year old 🤡

A 39 year old Djokovic, out of form coming into this event, barely playing the whole 2026, outside the top 10, and he STILL beats Zverev.. and we are supposed to respect Zverev because he won 2 slams with a 250 field?? What an absolute fraud man. Just shows if Zverev had to play grandpa Djokovic at one of those slams he wouldn’t of won it 🤣🤣🤣 how embarrassing
