I haven’t posted here for ages, but I want people to share my wife’s GoFundMe if possible. She has been wonderful in the most important roles in life – as a mother, grandmother and a teacher. Please donate if you can. Thanks gofund.me/5e34e0fa3

Fidel Brasileiro talks to @theinsidelefty about the impact of his father, Socrates, on Brazilian football and the emotion of seeing his memory upheld to this day at Corinthian-Casuals.

Today we were honoured to receive a visit from the family of Socrates! 🇧🇷 The great man's son, Fidel, and nephew Vitor - who with wife Gabriela Machado forms a media duo called 'WHY? Journalism' - are in London for the Ballon d'Or ceremony on Monday where the Socrates Award for social activism in football will be presented. They could not miss the chance to visit the home of Corinthian-Casuals and wear the famous shirt donned by Socrates in 1988. Sometimes this club feels like a magical place ✨️ #VaiCorinthians

DAVID MILLER: 1935 – 2026 All at Corinthian-Casuals Football Club are saddened to hear of the passing of David Miller, our former player and a celebrated sportswriter, at the age of 91. Miller first played for the Corinthian-Casuals Schools XI in January 1953, against a Surrey Grammar Schools XI at Molesey, and went on to wear our colours several times over the course of the 1950s. His career as a sportswriter brought him acclaim and awards, but he never forgot his connection to our club. Read @theinsidelefty's full obituary here: ➡️corinthian-casuals.com/news-…

Throwing in an 'obrigado' at the end as if it's not the only Portuguese word I know.
After scoring a worldy in a 3-0 win and picking up the Man of the Match award, @marksoares710 broke out the Portuguese for Corinthians fans in Brazil. What a display... on and off the pitch from the recent arrival!

New Staydia cam above the main stand coming in handy for this worldy today. And then @marksoares710 broke out the Portuguese in his post-match 🎙🇧🇷
An absolute scorcher from @marksoares710 to make it 2-0 today, captured perfectly on the @StaydiaSports live stream 🎯

The amount of non-league clubs with AI-generated mottos on their posts at the moment is ridiculous. How many 'One Club. One Goal' slogans can we take. 'One Community. One Harchester. One ounce of effort going into this.'

You could say that today is our birthday. For a long time, Corinthian Football Club were one of those that didn’t do birthdays – the history books simply tell us that we were founded in September 1882. However, we can thank @LlewWalker, a keen Corinthian-Casuals historian and President of our youth section, for alerting us to a solid date for the formation of our club. Llew undertook an exhaustive amount of original research in the writing of his 2023 book, Mr Corinthian, ostensibly a biography of Nicholas Lane Jackson, which also looks deeply into the history of both Corinthian FC and Casuals FC. In it, Walker gives compelling evidence that Corinthian Football Club was founded over the course of two meetings in two separate offices during the autumn of 1882. The first, on 13 September, was likely held at Jackson’s office as editor of the Midland Athlete, on the third floor of 17 Paternoster Square, while the second was held on 11 October at the FA’s offices at 28 Paternoster Row. It was at this second meeting that a committee was elected and the club officially founded, while the previous one had been a kind of preliminary meeting to discuss the prospect of founding a club. So you could say that 13 September was the date of our club’s conception, while 11 October is our birthday, or founding date. At the time, the press coverage of the meetings spoke simply of a new 'Wednesday football club’ being formed. The name came later, and the official club histories suggest H.A. Swepstone, a founding member and goalkeeper, suggested the name Corinthian Football Club. This year, the club turns 144 years old, and whether you choose to celebrate on 13 September or 11 October, hopefully there are many more to come!

A photo that sums up the joy of going to non-league. We all met through Casuals, became friends for life, and ended up going to Chertsey on a Tuesday night in the middle of winter for a Velocity Trophy game. Stu took a night off photographing and was in his element. Brilliant.

At Fisher FC on a rare Tuesday off for Casuals. That backdrop's insane 🌃 Also had to laugh when they did their '1, 2, 3... FISH!' at the end of their pre-match huddle. A week ago, I was at Chipstead and they did '1, 2, 3... CHIPS!' Need them to play each other 😁
