Soutenir. #HérosInvisibles #SolidaritéEnAction #28septembre

The people who make SMA care possible need support too. Sustainable resources, safety, wellbeing, training and strong networks are essential to sustaining this work. Recognize. Protect. Resource. #SilentHeroes #SolidarityInAction #September28

Behind every call, referral, conversation and act of support is a person giving their time, care and emotional energy. Today, we look beyond the work to the people behind it; and the parts of their work that often go unseen. #SilentHeroes #SolidarityInAction #September28

Behind every hotline call answered, every support rendered is a person with a story. Fear. Questions. Uncertainty. Hope. These are the people at the heart of the work; and the reason compassionate, accessible SMA support matters. #SilentHeroes #SolidarityInAction #September28

Who makes self-managed abortion possible? From information and counselling to accompaniment, referrals, community outreach and research, different people play different roles in the SMA ecosystem. Today, we make that work visible. #SilentHeroes #September28 @themamanetwork

Today Is International Safe Abortion Day - September 28th, 2026 And We Are Not Whispering. We Are SHOUTING. As AWAC marks 11 YEARS of feminist resistance, we stand in Solidarity In Action to Advance Reproductive Justice and Demand Health Systems that Deliver Comprehensive Abortion Care for Marginalized women such as Women Sex Workers, Gender Expansive People, among others! Abortion Care Is Health Care. Period. Accurate Safe Abortion Information Saves Lives. Our bodies are not battlegrounds for patriarchy, the state, and imperialist moral panics. Bodily Autonomy Is Non-Negotiable. We see the pushback for what it is. The so-called African Charter on Family, Sovereignty and Values is a FAKE CHARTER - a patriarchal, anti-rights manifesto dressed in "African values" to control women and gender-diverse persons. It weaponizes culture and sovereignty to criminalize our choices, to deny us care, to let us bleed and die from unsafe abortion. We call it out: #FakeAfricanCharter This charter is not African. It is not about family. It is an organized backlash against our hard-won SRHR gains. It seeks to roll back our rights to safe abortion and entrench systemic violence against women in all our diversities. We refuse. We resist. We will not go back. No law, no fake charter, no pulpit will stop us from claiming what is ours: The right to decide, to not decide, to live, to thrive. Safe Abortion Now! Reproductive Justice Now! #InternationalSafeAbortionDay #FakeAfricanCharter #DefyingThePushback

Misinformation and unsafe practices fill the gap where trusted answers should be. An accompanier fills it first, with accurate information at the right time and nonjudgmental support.#AmplifyRuralCommunities
