I pray our culture survives the onslaught of the next two years.

Ezekiel 13:20 "Wherefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against your pillows...and I will tear them from your arms" Guess it's time to wake up.

Ezekiel 8 would be a great premise for a horror movie: jewish sacrificial temple, hidden door revealing creeping creatures, more evil, and 70 ancient leaders who look upon the evil approvingly, filling the area with obscuring smoke.

I had to dig, but the reason we are "making a mockery" of the Eucharist is just that he doesn't think we have the authority. Fair enough. We both think that of the other. But both of us claim lines of priesthood authority to Jesus Christ, through Peter, James, and John.

He quoted me with his reasoning, if you are interested. It's the same boring arguments you have seen a million times. And here's I thought he had something new with the whole us being atheists thing. Turns out there's nothing new under the sun...

Just found an awesome insult in Jeremiah 3:3 - you have a whore's forehead. It means you brazenly sin and have no shame.

New Malfoid Canon dropping: about 1 in 1000 people is a wizard/witch. It fits the stories much better.
Replying to @PLeigh_Presents
We know they filled a stadium with 100,000 wizards from around the world. Maybe only the top 5-10% were able to buy tickets. America didn't go because we have our own version of quidditch. That puts us around 5 million around the world. So about one person in 1000.

A country with about 5 million people would be able to support one tiny wizarding school at this rate. Maybe the schools mentioned by Rowling are just the D1 or elite schools. There are many other smaller ones.

We like to talk about immutable or established science, when it's exactly the opposite: science is what it is, because EVERYTHING is mutable.
I've always found the use of the term 'data' to refer to historical/theological records and even archaeology to be misleading. It's just a different quality and type of information to experimental data, and most people don't understand the difference. Over time, plenty of historical facts supported by so called 'data' are just totally upended with the discovery of one little piece of new evidence.

Is it possible to create a sudoku that requires you to finish the number sets in a specific order? Could you use this as a way to send secret codes? Or send someone your phone number?

I think I found Malfoid's favorite Bible verse: Isaiah 64:8

There is only one modern day prophet who has more temples dedicated during his tenure than he has announced (excluding ones who didn't announce any).

The dual income trap's biggest effect is on housing costs. Another huge one is the decrease of the size of family units: more single people without roommates.
Everyone blames the "economy" for why both parents have to work, but nobody wants to talk about what actually caused it. When feminism pushed women into the workforce, the labor supply doubled. Basic economics tells you what happens when supply doubles, the price drops. Wages stagnated because employers suddenly had twice as many workers competing for jobs. What used to take one income now requires two. And instead of one parent being home with the children, both parents are working, both are exhausted, and they're paying a third of their combined income to daycare so that strangers can raise their kids. Feminism didn't give women freedom. It gave corporations access to a whole new labor pool and drove down wages for everyone. Now families can't survive on one income, and feminists call that "equality." The cost of living crisis is a feminism crisis.

Both the post for men and the post for women are good advice. Feel free to adapt the advice to your situation, but it generally is great advice and works.
Attention Young Women: I am surrounded by 20ish-year-old guys who want to date and get married. They are smart, capable, hard working and cute. They're hesitant to ask girls out or don't know where to find the good ones. If you are one of the good ones, here's what you need to do. Step 1: Change your expectations about how you'll meet. You might've built a story up in your head about the first look that resembles a plot line from Gilmore Girls. It won't happen like that, and your insistence that it be instantly Instagrammable is knocking a lot of good guys out of the dating pool. Step 2: Get fit. You don't need to be a size 4, but this generation of young men is serious about stewarding their bodies and they want a woman who cares for hers. Step 3: Grow your hair out (and don't dye it blue). It may sound superficial to you, but these young men want a girl who is feminine, and long locks are an indicator that you are. Step 4: Go clean your list. You are probably too selective about who you say yes to because you evaluate a coffee offer with the seriousness of a marriage proposal. So you say "no" when he asks for your number if he's an inch too short or three years too old, or does not yet make six figures, or wants to have a farm someday or doesn't want to have a farm someday. Ditch your list. As long as he does not creep you out, if he has the guts to ask you on a date, say yes. Step 5: Sign up for any event where you know like-minded guys will be. The local Young Republicans mixer, a hiking group, a lively singles youth night at church. If you're not seeing these guys, it's because you're not situating yourself where these guys are. Change your routine. Step 6: Get a gym membership and dress modestly. That not only accomplishes step two, but it puts you in regular contact with a lot of guys who are working to better themselves. But don't set a thirst trap. Stand out by wearing workout gear that draws attention to your face, not your cleavage. Step 7: When the guy who you see every Wednesday and Friday, who has given you pointers on better form for your RDLs, asks for your number, unless you genuinely feel unsafe, give it to him. Step 8: When he calls you two days later and asks you out for coffee or dinner, say yes. Even if you don't "like" him. This matters for two reasons. 1. You are conditioning him to initiate, and that will benefit you if you date long-term, or benefit other women he asks out in the future because you conditioned him to associate the risk of asking with the reward of a "yes." Hopefully some other girl is building up your future husband's confidence by saying yes when he asks her on a coffee date. 2. You don't actually know who you like. 50% of women marry a guy where there was no initial spark. They did not know they liked him until they saw him for a few weeks or a few months. Step 9: IMPORTANT - learn to flirt. That doesn't mean licking your lips suggestively or wearing a miniskirt. It means singling him out for attention. A guy is much more likely to ask you on a date if you've signaled that you will say yes. You do that by making eye contact, smiling at him, and responding to any small "bids" for connection. Step 10: He may not get all the dating etiquette exactly right that first time. He may not show up with flowers or open the door for you. But whatever he does that is commendable, notice it and thank him for it. A woman's greatest power is not bossing and directing, it is responding to and encouraging masculine energy in the right direction through sweetness and precise validation. Don't knock a sincere guy out of the running because he didn't execute a date perfectly. On the first date, the third, the fifth, you are evaluating for worldview alignment and character. Not elaborate planning for your night out. 1/2

speeches.byu.edu/talks/josep… My wife and I were trying to research some personal tithing questions, and I found this awesome BYU devotional. Well worth a listen. It does not have a transcript. This was later quoted in General Conference.

I wouldn’t make any meaningful change to my appearance without first discussing it with my husband. At this point in my life, I only care about my appearance in that I want to be attractive to my husband. So if he likes my hair/clothes/makeup a certain way, that’s what I’m doing.
