KPOO 89.5 is an SF institution, one that's been around since the early 70s. It's the oldest Black-owned radio station still in operation on the West Coast and the first to broadcast hip hop in SF. I recently got a chance to make a video about them for @sfstandard.

Last night I won my first-ever award for my video work in journalism. First place in Digital Media: Sports Feature for this piece I produced about the Bay Area's vintage baseball league! youtu.be/Yg3ketIoEEk This was a really fun one to make.

I recently took a ride with @kevinbtruong in one of Cruise's driverless cars. This is what it was like.

I partnered with @Matthew_Kupfer to tell the story of Yura Polishchuk, a 13-year-old who escaped #Ukraine alone shortly after #Russia invaded the country. He journeyed across the world and found a home in San Francisco. Watch Yura's story below.
The largest publicly funded nursing home in the country might shut down, and it resides right here in S.F. If Laguna Honda closes, what will happen to its patients that live there? Check out the latest video I produced for @sfstandard.

Recently I got the opportunity to meet and film Vanessa Rosemary Puris and her family. They were forced to flee Peru and arrived in S.F. in July hoping to be granted asylum.

Today I published the first episode of a new video series I created for the @sfstandard, featuring long-standing SF businesses, institutions and people that have withstood the test of time. Got ideas that would fit this series? I'd love to hear them!

It's been 82 days since I tested positive for COVID-19, and I'm still experiencing symptoms. After 82 days of nausea, fatigue, coughing, and chest pain, I can promise you this: that birthday party, happy hour, or gym class is *not* worth the risk. Also, wear a f*cking mask.

Let's don't bail out cruise ships. They are horrible employers, floating petri dishes, and they wreck local and global environments. It's one business the world will be better off without. slate.com/business/2020/03/c…

As president, I will guarantee this: when 50% of workers in a unit sign an authorization card, plus one, they will have a union. End of discussion. If employers refuse to negotiate in good faith, we will impose strong penalties on those companies.
