On SC's evolution of creamy layer for Reserved elites and the factoring of their eventual migration under the umbrella of merit ! @CM_JnK @Office_ASRM @parawahid @sajadlone

Spoke to Gulistan News. "Excessive Reservation → Unemployment → Frustration → Social Distress → Drug Abuse → Falling Fertility Family Breakdown. This is the chain of consequences we can no longer afford to ignore. J&K's reservation policy has distorted social & economic dynamics. It is time for urgent policy correction. " #savemerit #justiceforgeneralcategory Footage source : @GulistanNewsTV @ImranNaikoo

It is intricately linked. Ask any family with a daughter in the marriage bracket age ,they will prefer a match with a govt job over one without it . It is also true not everybody can have a govt job but without a doubt ,there is huge meta-preference for it !
Jobs have nothing to with marriage don't compare apples with oranges It's a problem with Kashmiri society Everyone marrying in kashmir does not have govt job. Stop posting random crap.

Abnormally low fertility rates and delayed marriages in kashmir cannot be viewed in isolation. A very underrated programme by @Nazirkashmiri of Greater Kashmir that deserves far more attention. Unemployment, shrinking opportunities & excessive reservation in recruitments .. 1/2

pushing an entire generation into uncertainty, with consequences for marriages and fertility. Our MLAs remain busy with chairs & perks. But remember, when there are no people, there will be no politics. It's time the public held them accountable. Our future cannot wait ! 2/2

Dear @CM_JnK Haryana, Assam and Telangana already have a 25% domicile quota in private universities while kerala has 40%. J&K has simply replicated an existing provision instead of setting a higher benchmark for its own youth. What exactly are we expected to celebrate here ? 🤔
Chief Minister congratulated Hon’ble Minister of Education, Mrs. Shamim Fidrous on notifying the Jammu & Kashmir Private Universities Rules, 2026, marking a significant step towards facilitating the establishment of reputed national and international institutions of higher learning in J&K. The Rules provide for streamlined approval procedures, 25% reservation for J&K domiciles in admissions and employment, effective regulatory oversight and stringent penalties for violations, with a focus on transparency, accountability and academic standards. Describing the notification as an important milestone in strengthening the higher education sector, the Chief Minister said the new framework would facilitate institutional investment, expand educational and employment opportunities for local youth, and promote excellence in teaching, research and innovation. He further observed that the initiative would encourage the establishment of institutions across disciplines, including STEM, Medicine, Law, Business Studies and Liberal Arts, while advancing the Government's objective of making quality higher education accessible to students within J&K and developing the region as a competitive destination for higher learning and research.

We have an entire generation of unemployed graduates, PhDs & postdoctoral scholars. They deserve meaningful opportunities in their homeland, not political lollipops. At least 75% of seats should have been reserved for local aspirants, with a fair & transparent share for Open Merit.

That's flattering. Won't say anything about myself because surely there must be capable people out there but the people of Anantnag surely deserve better representation than mere token rubber stamps or old deadwoods we usually see. 😇

ABSOLUTE SLUGFEST The latest JK Bank notification is yet another indictment of J&K’s lopsided reservation policy. Yesterday, on @GulistanNewsTV , while debating panel of 7–8 political party reps, I tried my best to bring this injustice, the erasure of merit & the marginalisation of the ethnic K-speaking population into focus. However, a debate demanding answers was swallowed by the familiar NC vs PDP vs BJP vs others blame game. I hope Gulistan News & the professional host of the show, Imran Naikoo sb air the full part about the most burning issues affecting our youth who tantamount to 70% of total population of J&K, today at 5:30 PM, without cuts. Our youth cannot keep paying the price for a political class busy settling scores. They deserve better. They deserve an alternative, perhaps one they must build themselves. @GulistanNewsTV 1/3
60% VERTICAL RESERVATION + 4% HORIZONTAL RESERVATION. And ZERO AGE RELAXATION for Open Merit! Out of 1,033 JK Bank vacancies, the message to the 70% unreserved population is brutally clear: compete with one hand tied behind your back, wait 7-8 years for recruitment, and then get nothing in return. What crime has the Open Merit youth committed? Were they born with a silver spoon? Why must merit become a punishment? Politicians who fight bitterly for chairs, throw mud at each other and manufacture controversies are conspicuously SILENT when it comes to the future of our youth and the economic health of J&K. This is political bankruptcy. This is institutionalised discrimination and the normalisation of extreme reservation-driven exclusion. Enough is enough. We need to rise above political convenience. We need an alternative. We need justice, equity and a rationalised reservation policy. OPEN MERIT CANNOT BE SACRIFICED AT THE ALTAR OF POLITICAL EXPEDIENCY.

DISCLAIMER for the predictable trolls: I am human. I have political convictions of my own. As a Political Science scholar and teacher, naturally, I have my own worldview. But when I speak for the youth, my political views take a back seat. The cause comes first. The youth come first. No party or individual owns their voice. As the biggest victim of policy apartheid ,I have every roght to speak on the Reservation issue & none of you can shut me down with hired troll-hit job . 3/3

And when the senseless Rule 17 is applied & the Reserved Elite steal seats from the pool of merit in addition to their big fat quotas, the share of Unreserved GC aspirants who come from 70% of the population was reduced to 91 out of 356. In effect 70% pop gets 23% share. Blanket Erasure of merit, Let that sink in !

Out of 356 NEET-PG seats, barely 136 selections for OM with fewer than 100 actually going to General Category. This is a Reservation Holocaust showing up after every result in JK. The government continues to sacrifice merit, refuses to amend Rule 17 despite its devastating consequences, and presides over the near-erasure of K-speaking candidates from clinical specialities. How long will aspirants pay for its political inertia? And what will the educated youth need to do to make deaf hear? #NEETPG

In Plato’s Apology, Socrates chose his principles over his life. History remembers that choice, not the power he refused. Politicians come & go, Power is temporary. But Conviction is legacy and @RuhullahMehdi has establisbed one of his own that will remembered for the ages : Literally kicking the chair rather than conforming to it !

Groundbreaking Data and Revelations on EWS Issue in J&K . PS: To the concerned Revenue Minister: Absurd Residential criteria must be go immediately for the "spirit of law" to prevail over the "letter of the law". If you can't do even this basic thing, why do we have an elected govt afterall ! @OmarAbdullah
