In their statement about Cooper Bai, Titans coach Josh Hannay mentioned Torino Jackson as one of the young forwards they are excited about. Jackson is a Zingari-Richmond junior from Dunedin who left Aotearoa to finish his schooling on the Gold Coast as part of the Titans system.
He has played in two U20 NRLQ seasons for Titans while still U19. Jackson’s progress with Titans...
2024: 5 x U17
2025: 9 x U19 | 1 x NRLQ
2026: 6 x U19 | 3 x NRLQ
Alvin Chong Nee is returning to NZ Warriors from Bulldogs. He came through the Warriors system as a Manurewa junior playing 1st 15 for Sacred Heart College and then shifted to Bulldogs for the 2026 season.
Dezman Laban and Lucas Carmine offer more edge depth. Unsure of the status of Kahu Capper this summer after he played a bit of edge forward for Warriors in last two years.
Hohepa Chandler, Mikaele Ilaiu, Krushil Koteka and Sione Telefoni could elevate to regular NSW Cup roles in the middle as well.
Tyson Hansen was a significant riser in the Warriors system this year as a utility forward after starting the year in U19s.
Cooper Page-Wilson has departed NZ Warriors to join Titans. He signed a two-year deal earlier this year and like many at Mt Smart, he has earned a level up deal while at Mt Smart. The arrival of Riley Price mid-season was notable as he has more NRL potential than Page-Wilson.
Jason Salalilo and Christian Sikuvea lead the younger wave of forwards, which includes big bopper Tepatasi Laumalili and Fijian international Emosi Ravosai.
Only two games (so far) during week five of the Women's #NZNationalLeague but they were both doozies as two pairs of local rivals turned in a couple of extremely close games decided by narrow (and spectacular) margins

Otago University earned their first ever #NZNationalLeague victory and it was Ruby Burgess - who captained the NZ U15s a few months ago - who got the decisive goal
