It’s not the love, it’s the familiarity. People don’t necessarily get tired of being loved. They get too comfortable having access to you. And once your attention becomes guaranteed and your affection predictable, they stop making an effort because they assume you’ll always be there. They start taking for granted what they once had to earn. This is why you must never let disrespect or bad behaviour slide. You can love someone deeply without allowing them to get away with just anything.
