Ever have one of those days? You get lots of amazing stuff done with your agents, feel awesome, and then discover -oops- you got your API keys mixed up and spent over $125 when any other day it would have been $0? Yep… One of those days.

Using #HermesAgent with Ghidra and Capstone made short work of recovering the code and assets for the two #Amiga games I wrote in 1990-1991, "Dino Wars" and "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure." Already fixed all known bugs and will remaster and port as time allows! #retrogames

A YouTuber 3D printed a working mechanical calculator out of 109 pieces, and it only adds and multiplies... The maker behind the YouTube channel 3D all Workshop spent two months building a pocket calculator with no metal springs, no screws and nothing he couldn't make on his 3D printer (his video). His description puts the cost at $2 in plastic and a bit of oil. The Register called it a working, but limited, build. The limits were his call. He wanted it to fit in a pocket, and he says subtraction and division would have made it too big and too complicated, so it adds and multiplies. You can enter up to 999, and multiplying is the same number added over and over with a crank while a counter tracks the turns, which is how the Curta does it too (The Register). Inside is a part more than 200 years old, the stepped drum named for Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. Each drum has nine teeth of different lengths, one drum per digit, and a lever moves a gear along it so the crank only catches as many teeth as the number you picked (The Register). The first print didn't work. In his video he says the tiniest printing inconsistencies made parts too tight or too loose, holding it knocked gears around, and slack between gears pushed the drums out of sync. He switched to a 0.2 mm nozzle, went through what he calls hundreds of prototypes, printed his own springs and added a ratchet so the crank turns one way only. The finished build is about 109 parts, 17 print hours and 90 grams of filament. You can't print this one, since The Register reports he hasn't released the design despite people asking. If you print anything with moving parts, I'd still watch his troubleshooting chapter. He used supports only where he had to, because every supported surface came out rough and added friction. He admits it's nowhere near as practical as a normal calculator. It still multiplied 421 by 4 and landed on 1,684 (his video).

Go ahead and switch to @claudeai Haiku 5.5 and use that for your project before assuming you need Sonnet or Opus. It has no difficulties given a memory system and full project context. I’m testing Haiku 5.5 in #Hermes updating my ChordCalc app for #iPhone and iPad. Good so far!

My favorite part of the process of recovering my old #Amiga games is how my agents build the forward pipeline along with the decoders. So I already have everything I need to begin remastering things. The board game needs more depth. The dinosaur battles need to be more dynamic.

I just used Ghidra with Hermes to deconstruct two Amiga games I wrote in 1990-1991 with the help of the Ghidra MCP plugin by @lauriewired and it was a great success, especially deconstructing the second game after all the skills gained on the first. Debugging and remastering now!

My guitar-oriented music sequencer FretPet has been out of circulation for ages. Just too busy to update it! Agents got good at the perfect moment to rescue all my stuck projects, so FretPet 2 will be out soon! It has an MCP interface, of course. #Claude is not a bad composer.

So cool to see our merch out in the wild and being put to good use! It’s a classic collection for a limited time. But follow and stay tuned for upcoming new 2027 designs! marlin-firmware-schwag.creat…
I made some small chocolate ice cream sodas for my parents and I. It is basically just soda water and icecream. I made the soda water with my @SodaStreamUSA. Since I used chocolate ice cream I didn't need the chocolate syrup. I am eating mine in my @MarlinFirmware mug.😋

We get a lot more submissions of code by #agents lately, and also a marked improvement in quality and comprehension. But to code Marlin properly they need more! Tell yours to use the Simulator with http agent interface (and new visualizations). #RepRap #3DPrinting #OpenSource

Tune in at 9pm Central to dive into how I work with agents in my coding workflow. I have an endless queue of creative projects using agents that involve coding, music, text adventures, electronics, 3D printing, game development, retro computing, and more! youtube.com/live/jt27_X3au0E
After letting this project languish for years, the reboot of my long-dormant FretPet music sequencer for #macOS is almost complete! I spent a week with #Hermes and #DeepSeek V4 Flash and then five days using #ClaudeCode with #Opus5. It’s been pretty smooth sailing the whole way!
