You don't necessarily make money right from the start but more so paying tuition to attend the classes in order to learn This is why you should start with very small amounts, not paper trade, but money you genuinely don't care about losing but still actual money so it affects you psychologically and you learn about the practical side of it (buying/selling etc) Then over time, those who stay consistent in the sports team and are serious about improving their skills eventually move up to higher level teams, and could start making a living out of it Even at the highest level, they keep training, improving themselves. That's also true for the top traders, you need to stay in the game to be aware of what's happening (what metas run, market conditions = ceilings, and more) And lastly, imagine this : when you where young you didn't know how to ride a bike.
