Mark Casse said it was quite likely that Nitrogen will return in 2027.
"That was one of the factors in the decision to go to the Distaff versus the Classic. We wanted to get her a Breeders’ Cup win, and we’ll probably take a different path next year, which will include going against some colts.”

Junior Alvarado on Sovereignty: "Turning out of the backstraight, I was like, ‘Oh boy, I can’t wait to turn for home’ because I could feel his power underneath me. The way he travelled the whole way let me know that he was there for me. He had such a strong turn of foot from the three to the wire.
I never had a moment’s doubt."
Ways and Means. Just an incredible animal. 👀 #BreedersCup2026
#BreedersCup2026 opinions:
Gimme a Nother (10-1), love the 7 week layoff and last three works at 5 furlongs. Proven at the distance and should be able to sit a perfect trip breaking from the rail.
#BreedersCup2026 opinions:
Yellow Card (8-1)-love coming in fresh, hasnt missed a beat training and should be able to sit a perfect trip rating. Prat riding back.
Full Serrano (10-1) another that comes in fresh and love the 6 furlong works. A mile specialist.

Knightsbridge galloping. Have to say, in making their race decision, they must have been feeling these signs from him, because in the last three or four days, he has absolutely blossomed. #BC26

Chad Brown reports 2 BC scratches: Gaudreau from Juvenile (fever). Zulu Kingdom from Mile. Brown said that was done in consultation with the vets, neither Brown nor vets happy with way Zulu was jogging. Zulu expected to race again in 2027 and "this won't impact that," Brown said.

Again, Knightsbridge is just stunning. Will be a handful to contend with in the Classic.
