I'm 22 years old with a $50M net worth and until a few months ago I was a ghost on social media
I'm Brazilian, moved to Orlando and lived in a shitty apartment grinding 10+ hours a day learning to trade
Spent 2 years unprofitable. Lived off crypto savings while I figured it out
Now I day trade futures and swing stocks for a living and I've built a life most people think is fake
So why did I finally start posting?
Because I want to be recognised as one of the greatest traders of this generation
I have the results. $1.1M in trading profits in the first half of this year alone, over $30M from swinging stocks - but I’m nowhere near finished yet
But results without presence don't exist in people's minds
I want people to look back at this account years from now and see the whole journey documented from day one
This is my Market Wizards application in real time
There is no point in demo trading unless you have $0 to your name
If you’re making $4-5k/month you can afford to load a couple hundred or $1k into an account, risk as low as possible and blow it a few times
All it takes is 2 years of fully dedicating yourself to trading to change your life forever
But by “dedicating” I don’t mean 1-2 hours a day, that’s childs play
I don’t know where the market will go, and I don’t really care
Your job as a trader is to react to what the market is doing in certain areas and buy/sell off that
The only time you need to know fundamentals and be able to predict where the market is going is if you’re swing trading
And even then you’re just going long on good stocks 95% of the time since we’re usually in a bull market
NFTs have to be the funniest investment ever
Millions spent on jpeg files that went to 0 in just a few months
NFTs were just an IQ test
Just because I think ICT is ass doesn’t mean you shouldn’t trade it
If you spend 1,000s of hours backtesting, trading, collecting data you can definitely find a way to make it work
Do I think it’s a good trading system? No
Would I trade it myself? Definitely not
But with enough data and analyzing, you can make any trading system profitable imo
Pure cope
The 99% of traders who fail are gamblers who either give up on trading after a year or become full blown gambling addicts on the charts
There are plenty of traders who operate in trading like a robot - it’s boring, systematic and they collect a ton of data to improve their system
If you want to become a full-time trader, do this:
1. Try to make more from your job. Either look for similar jobs with higher salaries you can apply for, or try go for a bonus. It’s easier to make an extra $1-3k/month from your job that it will be through trading if you’re a beginner.
2. Find a mentor, learn their strategy and only use that strategy. Backtest for 1-3 hours a day (or more if you can) and find ways to tweak it to make it better (go off your data, not what you “think”).
3. Start putting $1k at a time into live accounts, risk one micro contract per trade. You might blow this account, it’s ok and to be expected. You likely won’t become profitable for 1-2 years but it’s good to trade with real money so you can get used to the psychology, bad fills, trading fees, etc.
4. Journal every trade you take. The time you took it, what the market was doing (e.g. uptrend, consolidating, etc), the result of the trade, whether you followed your rules or not, notes talking about exactly why you took the trade, etc. Review this journal at the end of every week and try and find patterns between your good trades and your bad trades.
5. Once you have a few months of profitability in a row, you can increase your size. Put $3-5k into a live account or whatever you can afford (that won’t wipe you out if you lose it) and risk 2-3% per trade.
6. Keep building your trading account and invest into it every month like you would with passive ETF investing. Increase your size every few months when you’re ready.
7. Find ways to make more money with your trading → e.g. start a darwinex track record to get investor capital, use prop firms (I don’t like them or recommend using them, but I know traders who’ve had success with them, it’s up to you). Re-invest the money from these things back into your live account.
8. Once you’ve built up enough capital to live off (average trading income per month should be 2x your living costs), you can start working less hours. Change to part-time or get an online job that might pay less but allows you to put more time into trading. However if you have a full-time job that doesn’t affect your trading as much, even better - stick with it as long as you can.
9. Live well below your means. If you profit $20-30k in a month, don’t spend it all. Keeping your living costs as low as possible in your first few years of trading can let your account compound and those $20k months will turn into $100k months.
10. Once you’re a full-time trader, find another way to make money. Ideally something that doesn’t take much of your time away from trading (e.g. real estate, a business you invest in that doesn’t require much effort from you, etc). You don’t want to choose a business that requires 6-8+ hours of work a day as it will just harm your trading results.
That’s it
Anyone can do this in 3-5 years if they have patience and are working on the right things
Go and get it
The fact that Cathie Wood still has billions in AUM just proves that anything is possible and you can do anything you set your mind to
I’m up over $1 million in 2026 from day trading
But tbh it’s been a harder year for trading than most
If you’re just starting to learn now - you’re getting thrown in the deep end
But you should view it as a positive
If you can make it work in these conditions, things will likely get easier for you going forward
If I had to start from 0 again
I’d work any job I could get my hands on to make some money
Live in poverty conditions to get my hands on $5k as soon as possible
Deposit that into a live account and risk 5% per trade
I guarantee I’d have $100k by the end of the year
Once you learn the skill of trading it’s hard to go broke again unless you’re risking like an idiot
If your mentor only trades props, you’re lost
He could literally be an unprofitable trader and still make money with props
Because of the low challenge fees, you can spend $150k on evals, get $180-200k in payouts and still be unprofitable if it was in the live markets
And on top of that, most prop influencers are being gifted free accounts to keep the grift going and market these prop firms to their audiences
If your mentor isn’t trading a live account too, it’s for a reason…
If you’re in your 20s, unless you have $2-5k/month to put invest you shouldn’t be putting your money into ETFs
Take the risk or die broke
If I woke up 25 again, I'd split my money across 9 no brainer ETFs:
VTI - Own every US company.
GOVT - Sleep-at-night money.
QQQM - Tech without the fees.
SCHD - Get paid while you wait.
VEA - Diversify outside America.
VNQ - Real estate without tenants.
AVUV - Small caps market ignores.
DGRO - Dividends that grow yearly.
QUAL - Companies that don't go bankrupt.
No more research just fewer excuses.
Thinking you can’t average 50-100% a year as a day trader because “warren buffet only averaged 20%” is low IQ
Retail traders are probably managing at most $1M to $5M in their personal trading account
Not billions
They can get in and out of positions quickly, and aren’t operating as a hedge fund that has stricter risk limits and can’t be as aggressive because they’re managing client capital
You can eat 20-30% drawdowns as a retail trader that would damage you so much more as a hedge fund manager
It’s not the same game at all
If you ignored your trading plan and either didn’t trade or took shorts because guys online were talking about “Black Monday” you should just quit trading now
If you’re in your 20s you should be willing to go broke by taking risks that can make your rich
There’s literally no other point in your life when you’ll be able to hit rock bottom and just bounce back other than your 20s
You can’t take these risks when you have a family bro
When you’re testing a strategy - isolate and test one thing at a time
Look at the trades you’re taking, figure out if it’s better to:
•Trail your SL
•Take partials and move SL to BE
•Don’t move SL and just let it hit TP or SL
Guys will be testing a bunch of stuff at the same time and wonder why their trading doesn’t improve
Or they’ll test something one way backtesting in 2024 and then a different entry model in 2022 → they’re different years, who’s to say that the 2024 one is actually better or your strategy just overall performed much better in 2024
Come on guys, this is basic stuff
