Delighted to see that Schöley & Willekens (2017) has helped to inspire these amazing explainers by @OurWorldInData and @flowingdata causes of death. Let me introduce you to our paper "Visualizing compositional data on the Lexis surface" (citations help) demographic-research.org/vol…🧵
Really cool to see @flowingdata's new heatmaps on how causes of death have changed over time in the US. flowingdata.com/2023/09/29/a…

New work with @AnnaBarbuscia on fertility treatment and divorce in the US. Very excited to see this out!
First-time married couples who undertake fertility treatments in the US experience lower risk of divorcing up to 20 years after marrying compared to those who don’t, both when treatments are successful and when they are not.

Yesterday we were lucky to have @timriffe1 giving an exciting talk at @CPop_SDU. Honestly, this must have been an hour of the most intense brainwork in the last several years for me. Tim's ability to ignite demographic curiosity is unmatched 🔥
