learned a long time ago that when you stop worrying abt your efforts being reciprocated and just love freely, the love will always come back to you. it may not be in the way you expected or from the people you wanted it from, but it will come back to you in abundance nonetheless

i’ve noticed i’ve become more comfortable with my mistakes, work specifically. i used to feel a sense of inadequacy if i didn’t feel like i fulfilled the task i was paid to do. it’s always worked out in the end and experience is the best teacher. grateful to be a forever student.

the fact that you exist as an entirely unrepeatable perspective on reality should fill you with an enormous sense of possibility. nobody can create from the exact place you create from. nobody can see through your eyes. take that seriously. make something of it.

Also. No one has lived your life before you. No one has done it quite like you. No one has said it quite like you. Maybe the way you write something that’s been “done before” resonates with someone because of the way YOU wrote it. Keep writing.
This is also why a lot of people don’t write. They worry everything has already been said. Turns out yes, someone probably said it 500 years ago. But they didn’t say it through your particular experience, at this exact moment Sometimes we write to contribute to the collective discourse of the universe, and sometimes we write to make sense of our own lives. Both are good reasons to write

having a healthy partnership involves SO much advocating for your partners autonomy and agency. one of the biggest red flags for me is a partner who doesn’t encourage you to do healthy things without them and enjoy life without them attached to you 24/7.

Will never forget going to the Met and this lady walked past me in the better version of one of my favorite jackets. She had the collar up as well. I had to reassess my whole day.
