You simply just massively underestimate how enormous Taylor swift debut weeks are. The modern streaming artist will do 50-70M on day 1. 100M+ if you’re drake or bad bunny.
Taylor swift’s last two albums did 313M, and 250M. She is orders of magnitude bigger

If they really tried? They have been doing non-stop promo and performances of this for 6 months lol. And now she's on tour. They're definitely trying.
And that's a good thing! Trying is good. Olivia is ambitious and hard working and those are good qualities.
The only issue is her fanbase has equated those things as being an evil capitalist, so they have to pretend that she oops'd her way into success.
