I’m a frequent critic of the NYT. They brag they have 10 million subscribers. A former executive editor they said don’t vote for Donald Trump. Today, the NYT committed old-fashioned journalism and they should be credited for it. I wish they took on the Ds more often, as they always take on the Rs.
To state the obvious: If the @nytimes *only* wrote stories to help Democrats, they wouldn’t have written this one. My guess is they just guaranteed @DanSullivan_AK re-election. And they devoted a lot of investigative resources to do it.

Did anyone know there is a professional ballpark where the bullpen is in foul territory? Very little league.

DOJ should investigate whether this scheme to deceive Alaska voters violates 18 USC 241. If these Democrat operatives acted in concert to put a candidate on the ballot with the same name as the incumbent with the intent to deceive voters who support Sen. Sullivan into wasting their votes, that could be an illegal conspiracy against rights.
BREAKING: NYT reports that operatives with Democratic Alaska U.S. Senate candidate Mary Peltola’s campaign were behind the effort to find & recruit a candidate named Dan Sullivan to run against incumbent GOP Senator Dan S. Sullivan in an effort to confuse voters and peel votes from him. Specifically, NYT says they have reviewed text messages and documents that reveal in summer 2025, a Peltola staffer received instructions from campaign staffers to find as many people named Dan Sullivan in Alaska as possible. The staffer complied, going through voter records, and compiled a list. The operation “involved secret trips to far-flung Alaskan communities and the appearance of a mysterious Midwestern operative, who traversed the state using a fake name and made his pitch to would-be candidates over beers at brew pubs.” Per NYT: “The plan worked. This spring, a retired teacher from a tiny fishing village along the Alaska Panhandle, reachable only by air and sea, announced his candidacy for Senate. His name was Dan J. Sullivan.” nytimes.com/2026/10/28/us/po…

With this many teams in the playoff, it does make sense to have regular season conference champions as automatic bids
Jamarcus Shephard’s amazing thoughts on the 24-team College Football Playoff. “I hope the NCAA actually does care about student athletes, ALL student athletes, not just the ones in the SEC and the Big Ten.” He emphasizes accessibility to all teams in the FBS, and suggests all conference champions being able to be in that playoff, similar to the NCAA Basketball Tournament. “Well, this kid, he puts on his pads just like this kid in this other conference. He has to come in and work under the same rules, stipulations…within the NCAA’s bylaws that the kid at another conference has to.”

This says something about election integrity
NEWSFLASH: Dominion CTO Eric Coomer’s libel case against me for saying Dominion’s equipment rigs elections was just thrown out by the judge on summary judgment. Trial was supposed to start next Wednesday, but the judge read our evidence and realized I was correct. No libel.

The world is changing so rapidly, this is likely true. The US still needs more energy and data, but innovation will close some of the existing gap
Mark Cuban warns that the AI boom could turn into a debt bubble, with some data centers eventually becoming obsolete. He believes the industry needs to do more with less power, rather than simply building bigger and more expensive infrastructure. “ A lot of these data centers will turn into pickleball courts.”

We are just 1 week out from the midterm elections. Here are my expectations for the Senate, with a couple of notes. MI is probably the hardest race to call. I could honestly see it going either way, and I think it will be the closest of any Senate race this year. Abdul is a terrible candidate, and Rogers is a fantastic one, but the national environment definitely favors the Dems this year and the GOP hasn't won a Senate election in the state since 1994. Ohio is my pick for second closest race. Husted is a good candidate, but will be hurt by Vivek, who is deeply unpopular among Republicans. Split ballots are increasingly uncommon, and while it is definitely still a toss up in my mind, the Dems have a slight edge. Collins has surpassed her polling numbers by an average of ~8 points in every election she's run in. Jackson had only a few months to campaign, and is dealing with a demoralized base after Platner had to drop out. He is facing an uphill battle and I think Collins will slightly edge him out. Texas, despite all the chatter, will not go blue this year. It will be closer than most Republicans want to admit, but early voting numbers look very good for them. In the end, I expect the GOP to hold the Senate by 1 or 2 seats. I think they are all-but-guaranteed to hold at least 50 seats, giving them the majority with Vance as the tie-breaking vote. I probably won't do a House map, as there are just too many elections that I simply don't have enough time to follow and I wouldn't be as confident in my picks, but would do one if people here asked for it. Let me know what you think!

Many socialist countries are moving more conservative while the US is moving more socialist. If it worked, socialist countries would stay that way. Look at Argentina
Last night British Columbia elected a majority Conservative government for the first time in a century. British Columbians wanted change, and voted for it in a big way. Playing a part in this campaign as Director of Communications has been one of the coolest things i've ever done. An incredible team that had to be put together on the fly, and pulled off a truly remarkable accomplishment. I'm so proud of so many people. The future looks bright for BC.

So, the Titans lose because they give up a wide open 8 yard pass in the middle of the field and let the guy run for 30 yards.

I don’t applaud the name calling but this is absolutely true
Replying to @ChuckieFFS
You absolute midwit. Congrats on repeating the Wikipedia "Nazis were far-right, end of story" summary you absorbed between TikToks. Yes, the Nazis crushed independent unions, jailed and murdered communists and social democrats, and Hitler liquidated the Strasserite "left" wing of his own party in the Night of the Long Knives. That part is not in dispute. They were not Marxist class-struggle socialists. They hated Bolshevism as a Jewish plot and treated international socialism as the main enemy. Fine. What your middle-school history class skipped is that they still ran a National *Socialist* state: private property existed only as long as it served the Führer’s racial and war goals, wages and prices were controlled, industry was cartelized under state direction, profit was subordinated to the party, and the economy was planned for autarky and rearmament. That is not free-market capitalism, liberal conservatism, or classical right-wing economics. It is the same family of state-directed, anti-liberal, collectivist economics practiced by every other fascist and "national socialist" regime. The name was not a prank; the 25-point program and the early rhetoric were full of anti-capitalist planks precisely because they were competing with the actual socialists for working-class support. Your North Korea comparison is the usual gotcha and it is only half-clever. Yes, names can lie. But the NSDAP did not merely call itself socialist while secretly running a Rothschild hedge fund. They nationalized, directed, rationed, and regimented. The difference from Soviet socialism was mainly that the Nazis kept the owners as managers under party orders instead of shooting them all and installing commissars. Both systems produced shortages, secret police, and mass graves; one just had better uniforms and Wagner. Elon pointing out the obvious—that "National Socialist" is not an ironic branding exercise and that the regime was economically left of any classical liberal or conservative—does not make him a moron. It makes him less obedient to the post-1945 academic consensus that insists every totalitarian who isn’t a full Marxist must be filed under "far-right" so the left never has to share the body count. Money didn’t buy him a brain; it just bought him a platform where he doesn’t have to pretend your selective reading of 1930s Germany is the complete picture. Keep yelling "far-right fascists" while ignoring the actual economic policies and the party’s own name. It is the historical equivalent of covering your ears and shouting.

This is not our year in football. Was always going to be a step back, but certainly disappointing to lose to Arkansas and return to worst in the league. I do believe next year will be different, but need to do better on the lines
