Three Israeli Druze soldiers were assaulted in a Tel Aviv nightclub by Jewish Israelis because they were speaking Arabic. This occurred in what is considered the most liberal and open-minded city in Israel. Cc: Lebanese who cannot wait to "party in Israel."

The GRU hacked into Jared Kushner's iPhone. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) then recruited a GRU spy who gave them access to the hacked phone. What MIVD discovered was that Kushner had access to two bank accounts --one Azerbaijani, the other Israeli --where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati ruler Mohammed bin Zayed deposited money. It sounds like a slightly far-fetched episode of "Slow Horses," but it's real. And it proves just how eye-poppingly corrupt this administration was and continues to be as its "special envoy" decides the fate of tens of millions in Europe in the Middle East. Simply incredible reporting by Matthew Cole, drawn from his new book on Kushner. vanityfair.com/story/jared-k…

Remember the guy who rammed his ATV into the praying Palestinian on camera? Turns out he’s one of the people who assaulted WaPo photographer Heidi Levine. He was briefly detained by MP then walked free with no charges. On camera!

The "two state solution" is the position of the Palestinian National Council, the most democratic Palestinian body, which adopted it for pragmatic reasons. It is unbelievably silly to try and make this idea out to be a figment of Western journalism. Brains broken by ID politics.
When a western journalist calls for a two state solution for 'practical reasons', that is still racist. It still prioritizes the coloniser over the indigenous population. Luckily, western journalists won't get to decide. The complete liberation of Palestine will come from the efforts and sacrifices of men, women, and children in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and beyond. The least western journalists/commentators can do is stop limiting the parameters around what liberation for Palestinians looks like.

This, like Ashok's approach to the whole issue, is completely delusional.

I’ve been detained by the IDF, along with a group of rabbis & volunteers. We were simply harvesting olives in a grove near Nehalim in the West Bank. The occupation is a crime under international law. Harvesting olives isn’t a crime under any law I know.

Incredible scoop by my @WSJ colleagues: Elon Musk ordered the slowdown of a military-grade version of Starlink relied on by Ukraine, a decision that sparked panic in Kyiv and confusion inside the Trump administration. wsj.com/world/ukraine-starli…

What is the status of the Palestinian citizens in Israel? Separate and Unequal. Here is a list of resources that illustrates their inferior status in a regime of Jewish supremacy: 🧵 1/n
This is utter nonsense, the Arabs are fully equal citizens. The nation-state law regulates the flag and anthem and simply declares that Israel cannot be transformed into a non-Jewish State because it is the only jewish state on earth.

A small request to foreign journalists working in Ukraine: ask the Lviv City Council and the Holos party why their former council member led a group of men in attacking a 24-year-old guy who just wanted to give a lecture Without pressure, this case will be swept under the rug
My friend Vlad Starodubtsev, a Ukrainian veteran and historian, was beaten up in Lviv today by a group of far-right thugs for trying to give a history lecture. According to Social Movement, a Ukrainian democratic socialist organization, about 20 of them attacked him in broad daylight, just before the talk was supposed to start at the group's office near Lviv University. The lecture was on the history of the labor and socialist movement in Galicia. This is an attack on the freedom of speech that journalists, academics and activists depend on. It's vital that attention be drawn to this issue so that authorities take appropriate action. If you are journalist reading this, please consider covering it, and following up with authorities. Important News: It is looking increasingly likely that the National Guard in Suwayda are preparing for an offensive to capture the Druze villages and towns under the control of the STG in Suwayda’s Northern and Western countrysides, backed with Israeli support, especially Close Aerial Support, Israeli Helicopters are landing in Al-Kufr Airstrip delivering weapons and ammunition for the offensive, with the pace picking up, the Jerusalem Post and I24 are reporting on Druze intentions to attack in the next few days.

The original tweet was “God help us authors who support Palestine and Palestine Action.” The police decision appears to legitimate people going around w placards reading "God/providence/etc. help us ____ who support Palestine Action". Law looking ever more like an ass here.
UK police have determined that a social media post by the wife of PM Andy Burnham’s national security adviser that appears to endorse Palestine Action does not merit a criminal investigation. 🔗 : aje.news/eynlvy

Israel’s opposition candidate blames “a handful of rioters” for yesterday’s pogrom, applauds the IDF for their response—which was to back the settlers and shoot a Palestinian—and calls on the police to prosecute the criminals, something he knows they will not do.

This will get overshadowed by the attack on an American journalist, but half an hour after Heidi was beaten, the IDF shot a Palestinian man simply standing inside his own village. Then the soldiers pointed an assault rifle at the paramedics trying to help the victim.

To be clear, the only reason I was able to reach Heidi was because young Palestinians provided cover with rocks against machine-gun- and tear-gas-wielding settlers and soldiers. It’s those kids, not the settler terrorists, who the IDF was hunting after the attack.
This is @infinite_jaz rushing to help Heidi under fire from Israeli settlers slings

Latest on Heidi Levine: broken rib, four broken vertebrae, her finger was nearly cut off, multiple potential stabbing wounds. Surgery first thing in the morning.
Heidi is going to be okay, but her injuries are significantly worse than initially thought. It appears that she may have been stabbed. She’s getting ready for surgery.

Make no mistake about it, by allowing the Israeli military and the settlers to beat and kill journalists with impunity, Israel is sending a calculated and deliberate message to journalists around the world: Your cameras are not welcome here, we will not let you show the world our crimes. Every journalist must reject this.

This is the moron who wrote the below story for Tablet. He’s now calling for a 60+ year old @washingtonpost photographer to be investigated after she was fucking beaten and stabbed by West Bank settlers.
The journalists at the @washingtonpost should themselves be investigated by the Israeli police and the @IDF as to who they are traveling with, their contacts, including relationships with terrorist organizations, foreign antizionist radicals and extremists, and their exact role in potentially inciting or instigating or engaging in violence against Israeli civilians.

On the Israeli settler attack on Palestinians and a WaPo journalist during an olive harvest: nytimes.com/2026/10/16/world… One thing our reporters noted that hasn't gotten much attention: the IDF shot a man running *away*, then claimed he was running at them with a "sharp object."

I recently returned from two months of meetings across Syria, my ninth trip since the regime fell. As usual, I visited many of the same areas I do each trip, but also many new communities across western and northern Syria. My work focused on civil peace, transitional justice, and historical documentation. 🧵
