💯pct @DanielBurrus‼️I just repeated your quote in an interview with @AccountingEdit about #RiseNavigator Human in the Lead™ #Rise2040 #FutureCPACGMA
“There is no such thing as artificial wisdom.”
AI can produce financial analysis in seconds. Accountants still need to question the assumptions and decide what deserves a client’s trust.
Let’s look at where human judgment adds value: burrus.com/blog

We agree @DanielBurrus‼️ one of the strongest ideas emerging from Rise2040 is Human in the Lead™
This does not mean humans continue doing everything while AI sits beside them as a sophisticated calculator. We want to be allowing intelligent systems to perform work they can do extraordinarily well while keeping human accountability where it belongs—with humans.
The #rise2040 report points toward a future in which AI handles more data processing and analysis while professionals supply judgment, interpretation, relationships, ethical oversight, and trust.
AI can generate an answer. Wisdom determines what we should do with it.

Accountants need experience to challenge an AI-generated answer. Thomson Reuters reports firms are starting to use simulations to build that judgment.
I see my Both/And Principle at work here: develop AI capabilities and human expertise together.

🙌 No way - that is a race to the bottom‼️ Another great podcast by @KaceeJ - thanks for calling it out @digits
If AI helps your firm deliver work faster, should you lower the fee?
It’s a question Kacee Johnson explores in The Price of Intelligence on the AI Native Accounting® Podcast.
Fieldguide’s Jin Chang shares what he’s hearing from firm leaders: efficiency and profitability are improving, but AI brings investment and learning costs, too.
Many are holding pricing steady while focusing on a better question: how can we deliver more value for the same fee?
More capacity gives firms options. Understanding the economics helps them decide what comes next.

🧠 AI should make you think better — not stop you thinking altogether.
It’s tempting to use AI as a shortcut. Ask a question, copy the answer and move on. But that risks missing one of the most powerful ways these tools can actually help us. 🤖
Instead of asking AI to replace your thinking, use it to improve it.
Ask AI to challenge your assumptions, find weaknesses in your argument, introduce alternative perspectives, ask you difficult questions and uncover things you may have overlooked.
Used this way, AI doesn’t become a substitute for human intelligence. It becomes a tool for strengthening it.
The smartest way to use AI might not be getting it to think for you — but getting it to help you think better.
How are you using AI to challenge your own thinking? 👇

When AI handles more routine accounting work, where will professional value grow?
I see an opportunity in judgment, trust, and helping clients anticipate what comes next.

The alignment between PwC’s near-term labor data and Rise2040’s 15-year foresight is clear: AI is already splitting roles into professionalised tracks that reward judgment, creativity and leadership. For accounting and finance that means the durable edge is “Human in the Lead”—overseeing systems, telling the data story and delivering anticipatory advice rather than competing on volume.
Thank you 🙏@grok and @PwC it is about taking agency with #AI and keeping the Human in the Lead™ #Rise2040

💯pct agree with. @pwc and the same message from our #Rise2040 #FutureCPACGMA research 7,500 professionals in 25 countries and over 106 Future Forums - Human in the Lead™
Professionalised roles have seen 42% faster growth in average salaries than democratised roles, with the gap widening since 2022.
As AI takes on routine work, the value of human expertise, judgement and creativity is rising.
The opportunity isn't just deploying #AI. It's redesigning work and investing in the skills that matter most.
