I got a coworker who claimed she couldn't show up at 9 because she has adhd. She regularly rolled in at 10. Our boss decided that she'd give her a bone and set our core, in-office hours as 10-3. Coworker started rolling up at 11.

It’s crazy bc for years you’ll be like “ohhh no that was just a bad hookup when I was 19” and then it finally clicks years later and then you move on but every few years something Happens and you witness tons more women grapple with the same realization and it never ends

the force of denial can be extremely strong till external factors recontextualize an experience too. easy to repress and rationalize like "he was young and made a simple mistake but he's learning" till you learn he did it to 5 other women and then you start getting panic attacks!

If you want people to start believing allegations again, you have to shut people like this down The internet has convinced people they are a victim or something in their past is “trauma” They’ve done it to me and they’ll do it to others I’d like to believe them again someday…

Moonlight is more about the dissecting of masculinity than sexuality. Sexuality was an aspect of the movie while masculinity was the major thread throughout. A core theme of the movie was how Chiron is not like the other boys near him in terms of how he acts not just who he likes

I don’t think the closet even exists in Moonlight. Chiron isn’t living some secret double life. No one is ducking and hiding. These men are emotionally frozen. That movie is more about survival and masculinity than ‘DL culture.’
