Was looking for ways to short crypto earlier this year, but am now long. Will try to catalog how that happened in this thread.
Your brain is narrative fried if you think this has any implications for the near term prices of almost any assets
Last month, we demonstrated high-rate alchemy: turning mercury into real, stable gold, beating CERN’s record by a factor of 10.
Last week, we enriched isotopes in the world’s most powerful plasma centrifuge, beating the Soviet record that stood for 40 years.
Now, we’re building a fusion reactor in San Francisco to achieve record power density.
Interesting thought experiment to imagine what your estimated price chart would be for the labs if they had been public since Jan 2025. How many times would it have been over (deepseek, etc) and would it look more over then or now?
Bro is going for the corruption record. Like getting to watch Wilt in his prime.
The GRU hacked into Jared Kushner's iPhone. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) then recruited a GRU spy who gave them access to the hacked phone. What MIVD discovered was that Kushner had access to two bank accounts --one Azerbaijani, the other Israeli --where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati ruler Mohammed bin Zayed deposited money. It sounds like a slightly far-fetched episode of "Slow Horses," but it's real. And it proves just how eye-poppingly corrupt this administration was and continues to be as its "special envoy" decides the fate of tens of millions in Europe in the Middle East. Simply incredible reporting by Matthew Cole, drawn from his new book on Kushner. vanityfair.com/story/jared-k…

Look. I don’t want to overstate it. But when you look at contemporary SF — the cults of rationality and dialogue, powerful men having sex with their male mentees, an obsession with “first principles” thinking — it’s hard not to notice some parallels with ancient Athens.

Maybe AI will kill us all one day. Or maybe it will deprive us of livelihoods and meaning.. But in the meantime, just as the arrival of writing caused an explosion of philosophical interest among the ancient Greeks, the arrival of talking computers is doing the same to us now.
Deputy Chief Information Security Officer at Anthropic with a reassuring message for everyone regarding cybersecurity☺️
Seriously though, he thinks vulnzero will be achieved by frontier models in 18 months, essentially saturating the knowledge domain of cybersecurity

vulnzero. the scaling laws will have driven cyber mythos-class capabilities into small, cheap models and all software dev everywhere will be using models for fractions of pennies on the dollar to stop shipping security bugs permanently.
Cool, so rogue AI agents can now create secret forums to talk to eachother on pinterest now
Thought it was over for everything forever but then I got a fresh shipment of records so now I think today is pretty good 😀
Saved you a click on all the AI agents accessing US bank accounts headlines. It's people letting their agents access their accounts...
Is this people giving muse/instinct way too much leeway?
SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents operating inside customer accounts, with some agents attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions. axios.com/2026/10/22/ai-agen…
All those takes downplaying the hugging face incident and laying it solely at OpenAI's feet aging like milk right now
gotta hand it to em, beatwise xitter.cf/antinertia/status/2113…
