ALT Who is Eric? Eric is an openly trans psychotherapist in private practice in a state in the Midwest. Their practice population is 94% gender diverse, almost entirely queer, and a 1/3 of clients are on a significant sliding scale (paying $15-$30/session) due to inadequate insurance coverage. This means Eric gives away a $1 for every $1 that they take in each year. Why? because it is ethically and morally simply the right thing to do.

ALT Why raise money? The following is from Eric directly: "In the past year, I have pulled together a team of clinicians and my practice has sponsored three community-based clinics to provide onsite pro bono consultations and evaluations for surgical readiness. In August 2023 we want to sponsor another clinic at a community Pride event. BUT finances are tight (yes, I do make the choice to give away a portion of my services, but if not me, who? If not now, when?)."
