ALT Roadmap towards a global understanding of tree mortality. The five major steps integrate long-term field data with remote sensing and modelling techniques to build a fair, diverse and equitable system to monitor tree mortality at global scales. At its core, this system is built in a progressive fashion that over time allows for expanding current monitoring frameworks, both spatially and temporarily, to enhance scientific and social collaborations via interoperable databases that ultimately will help develop stronger predictions on tree mortality, its trends and main drivers.
