I wrote about a question we’ll have to ask our AI agents: who are you actually working for?
Knowing what I want doesn’t help much if someone else paid to narrow my options.
My piece for Every’s Thesis about the world "After automation": every.to/thesis-statements/t…
I. Can’t. Keep. Up.
Introducing Flint, @Recursive_SI’s first model: a fast local coding model built with our automated research system, the Eureka Machine.
• Best-in-class fast local coding
• Up to 2x faster than comparable models: 125+ tokens/sec on a MacBook Pro, 150+ on RTX Spark
• Built from scratch in under 4 months
Private, unmetered intelligence on your own machine. Open weights available now on @huggingface, run it locally on your favorite framework or try it for free on @opencode or @pidotdev.
Given all the amazing competition they have with Grok @bot, @Muse etc, this is such a bland announcement. It looks so undifferentiated it’s confusing to me why they seemingly rushed it
Our friends at @Cloudflare making it easier to mitigate the php2shell vulnerability.
One-click mitigation for php2shell vulnerability:
If you have Cloudflare in front of your PHP website, please login to the dashboard and click this button to make sure you are protected.
dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:ac…
This reduces your risk but doesn't fix the vulnerabilities in PHP. We recommend updating PHP to a patched version.

Out of the blue, Elon posted that Grok Bot now uses Opus 5.5 as the default for everything. No price increase. Grok Bot did poorly on my IQ test the first time. On the second run it was way up there, because it was running Opus.

I love how people talk about robots folding our laundry and dusting our countertops, while Chinese companies are building a battle bots.
Today is gonna be wild with exploits. The attack surface here is so immense across sites, we are going to see many outages and compromised sites.
PHP Security Advisories are out:

Need to upgrade to 8.2.35, 8.3.36, 8.4.27, or 8.5.12 ASAP to mitigate. Updates rolling out now. #PHP
“You Can See Everything” by @nathanfielder is the best documentary I’ve ever seen.
Don’t read anything about it before you go in. Experiencing how it unfolds, and the twists and turns, is half the experience, trust me.
Compound Engineering's `/ce-optimize` has been so helpful in any repo i work on to improve CI time.
"/ce-optimize Look at the CI and assess opportunities for improving it"
Decreased CI by 29%. Solid!
Go @orca_build !
Changing lives @orca_build - my friend I told to switch just texted me this.
Make sure you are auditing your tests in your repo that your agents have written. You'll be shocked at how bad (or even useless) they can be, especially as they stack on top of previous agent work.
Compound Engineering makes it easy:
"/compound-engineering:ce-simplify-code do a test audit of this repo"
Ran it in a new repo i'm working on for the first time, result:
best design skill gets better.
You asked for better. Your AI added a border.
You asked again. It added a shadow.
We've all been there.

Energon 1.15.1 just got an upgrade courtesy of
@kepano!
His pele.run project is a swap for mermaid.js but is remarkably more efficient. In my tests, it's running ~520x faster and loads 7x less JS per diagram.
