Replying to @RevenueCat
@RevenueCat is famously hard to get into
We’ve just opened our first (and only) truly entry-level role
And I suspect some of the best people for it won’t think to apply
It’s called Product Expert
Before anyone gets too excited about the “entry-level” bit: You still need to be amazing 😅
What you don’t need is to have spent the last 10 years becoming world-class at one very specific thing
For this role, we’re looking for a broader set of skills:
👉 You’re amazing in a conversation with a founder, app growth professional or developer
You can figure out what they’re trying to do, ask good questions, and actually help them move forward
👉 You know RevenueCat well enough to answer questions and give a useful demo
Maybe you learned it at work, maybe you built your own app, maybe you entered Shipaton
We care that you know your stuff, not where you learned it
👉 You have commercial common sense
You can handle the straightforward commercial questions yourself, and recognize when it’s time to pull in an Account Executive
👉 You have technical common sense
Same thing: You can help with the basics, and know when a conversation needs a Solutions Engineer
You don’t have to be the person who can close the biggest deal AND architect the most complicated migration
You do need to be the person who makes the first conversation genuinely useful
(And who makes sure the next conversation actually happens)
Already world-class at one of those things? Great! You’re very welcome to apply too
We’re just opening this up to people who haven’t picked their specialization yet
You’ll get to work with, and learn from, some genuinely amazing people
Travel to industry events and meet RevenueCat users in person
And build a foundation that could take you towards being an AE, an SE, a CSM, or wherever your strengths end up taking you
For now, we’re hiring at least one person in the Americas and one in EMEA
If you’ve ever looked at our jobs and thought “I’d LOVE to work there, but I’m not a senior specialist in any of these things”, this could be your foot in the door
And if someone immediately came to mind while reading this: Tag them
Especially if they’re the kind of person who’s brilliant at a bunch of things, but would never search for a job called “Product Expert”

love the "If managed well" 💀
Wow missed this completely and lots of events are waitlist already, but looks amazing, so many events at Poland Tech Week, next week in Warsaw 🇵🇱💪
Full list:

1st place for #Shipaton is an app called Mio where you check off self-care tasks and grow XP on a cute bird (I should have added a bird to Starday 🤔).

On Wednesday @RevenueCat is holding App Growth Annual conference, with online sessions.
Couple of my favorites:
- "The playbook behind 23 million organic downloads" by @bria_sullivan and
- App growth in 2026: benchmarks, web flows, and the “AI” test by @HannahParvaz
Registration here >> appgrowthannual.com/virtual
Such a nice way to start the morning, every time @RevenueCat sends me this notification 🥰
Poland would be a great choice for the first European Omacon conference! I feel embarrassed to say I've not yet been. This would be a great excuse to correct that mistake!
🇵🇱 Warsaw is Poland's biggest city and it is completely safe at 1am at night
No violent junkies, no drug dealers, no street thugs hanging around harassing women (and men), no pickpockets (nor in the day btw)
No shady people hanging around the train and metro stations
Just people living chill together and police enforcing safety
You know like we used to in Western Europe?
There's a lot to learn from Poland
Okay I didn't win #shipaton but I got my 2nd annual purchase today, after 5 started-and-canceled trials!
I started to get more trials after changing paywall design so sharing it here as promised:
#shipaton winners will be announced at the Shippies online event, registration is here: luma.com/zi3l991j
and yes i also got this email that I didn't win 😿😿😿
I hope @HHaandr didn't win either 😈
When prototyping sth with LLMs, it's really hard to keep authenticity - the more you refine it, the more grey it becomes.
Reminded me of this great research on colors of everyday objects turning to grey: medium.com/science-museum-gr…
My 9 albums - feeling really nostalgic about many of these 🖤 #my9albums my9albums.com/s/x8j4eEtaR3

I solo developed 2 apps that have 23 Million organic downloads between them
1 just launched last year
I'm hosting a workshop about my exact playbook for creating apps that market themselves
It's free and online Oct 21
Redesigned a @RevenueCat paywall in my app (Starday) and got first 3 trials overnight 🙀🙀🙀
Will post the paywall pattern if they convert 🤞

Quick update on #Shipaton:
We have concluded screening all the submissions now. IT was a lot of apps, that's all I will say. Short lists of apps are now moving to judges to pick the finalists.
Good job everyone who submitted, there are a lot of truly great apps submitted.
Unexpected twist - you can now judge the apps made by @RevenueCat employees and sponsors of #shipaton . My app is called 🌟Starday btw 😉
While we’re busy judging your Shipaton submissions, YOU get to judge ours! 🧑⚖️
You can crown the champion of the coveted Conflict of Interest Award for RevenueCat and sponsor employees
Anyone who registered can vote!
Go tell us who's your favorite at conflict-of-interest.shipato…
We got almost 4000 apps submitted to #Shipaton this year 😱
Judging is still done by humans and has several stages -- excited to get through my batch and planning to get veeery inspired!
