Terrorism-related arrests in Britain have surged by 1,553% in a year. But 94% were linked to alleged support for Palestine Action, a pro-Palestinian group banned under UK terrorism laws. From elderly protesters simply holding placards to people demonstrating against Israel's genocidal war on Palestine's Gaza, thousands have been caught up in a crackdown condemned by international human rights organisations
Thousands of Mexicans have been protesting since early October, demanding access to clean water in the Guadalajara region.
But did you know that Coca-Cola has been accused of massively exploiting Mexico’s water resources?
Listen to what activists told TRT World in 2025 about the company’s water abuses
An Israeli soldier gave a tour of an occupied house in Lebanon moments before destroying it, Israel Genocide Tracker reported.
“Israeli terrorists showing off a displaced Lebanese family’s home while rigging it with explosives, moments before its detonation yesterday. The joke ceasefire is allowing these terrorists to make online skits while annihilating what’s left of South Lebanese villages,” the platform said on X.
In recent months, Israel Genocide Tracker has identified and compiled hundreds of videos showing Israeli soldiers filming themselves committing war crimes and other atrocities in Gaza and Lebanon.
President Emmanuel Macron criticises world leaders for making "stupid" and “unacceptable” comments about the rioting on the sidelines of protests in France, in an apparent swipe at US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“When I see leaders campaigning in the region or on the other side of the Atlantic. They are campaigning at our expense,” he said.
Macron also denounced what he described as “foreign manipulation of information” after the unrest, saying artificial intelligence had been used to fabricate images of events that never happened.

Pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered outside The New York Times headquarters in New York on Tuesday to protest the newspaper’s coverage of Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza and its illegal occupation of Lebanese territories.
“New York Times, you are a liar,” demonstrators chanted outside the building entrance, accusing the publication of editorial bias.
“Consent for genocide manufactured here,” a prominent banner held by the crowd read.
Britain’s King Charles III hosted a state banquet at Windsor Castle on Tuesday for Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, praising the country’s peacemaking efforts and quoting a hadith of Prophet Muhammad in Arabic.
This is not the first time the King has spoken Arabic at an official event. In December 2024, he welcomed Qatar’s Emir to Buckingham Palace in Arabic. In 2013, it emerged that Charles had taken Arabic lessons when he was still a prince.
UN experts have called for an independent investigation into Indian authorities’ conduct during a recent crackdown on protests, in which demonstrators sustained injuries, and some reportedly suffered ill-treatment.
“Despite the non-violent nature of the assemblies, law enforcement agencies have reportedly deployed force against unarmed students, including lathi charges, and have prevented thousands from joining the protests,” the two dozen independent experts said in a statement, referring to the use of batons to disperse crowds.
The panel said 7,000 young people, journalists, human rights defenders, lawyers and political opponents had recently been arbitrarily detained in New Delhi. It also expressed concern over “restrictions on peaceful assembly, arbitrary detentions, enforced disappearances, and the targeting of student activists”.
“We call on the authorities to immediately cease the use of excessive force, rescind blanket assembly bans, and refrain from the misuse of digital surveillance, including through biometrics, and internet disruptions,” the experts said.
Protest groups say the removal of 130 million names from voter lists has disenfranchised eligible voters, disproportionately affecting poor and homeless people, as well as ethnic and religious minorities, including Muslims.
Israel detained Democratic US congressional nominee Brad Lander, along with dozens of foreign activists, rabbis and Palestinian farmers, as they participated in the olive harvest in the occupied West Bank.
Lander later wrote that he was released because of his prominence, adding that “Palestinians face far worse consequences every day”.
Palestinian activist Amira Muslim told Anadolu Agency that Israeli forces detained a total of 45 foreign activists, including Lander, as well as 25 Israeli activists.
Brad Lander is not the first US politician detained in the occupied West Bank this year. Representative Ro Khanna, a California Democrat, said Israeli forces detained him during a visit in July.
