Quick take on the green card ban for top IT firms - a blessing in disguise ??
Near term: Chaos and disruption - ability to hire, retain, deploy H1B talent will be challenging as it was always a pathway to citizenship. People who have green cards will be in demand
Long term: POSITIVE. Will lead to extreme offshoring, centre of gravity and decision making will move to India..
#Breaking | 🚨 US suspends Microsoft, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant and other IT firms from the PERM green card programme, citing alleged abuse of the H-1B visa system.
Could the move create short-term disruption but trigger a longer-term shift in the IT industry? What does it mean for Indian IT companies and professionals in the US?
