couple of sunday thoughts on how inspiring amp (product and company) is, and how we are building the appetite to land bring-your-own-tokens backed by mobil experiences to o build things on the go. mobile is still our strength and our passion, and with the linux and. compute capabilities we have now on the platform, it’d be stupid not to do it. we could complement existing agent driven workflows with deeper integration into ios, and validation optimisations that tap into our build infra

@marekfort gave a talk about how to scale @SwiftLang Development at Swift Rockies, which captures all our learnings from working with small and large organizations, and it is finally live: youtube.com/watch?v=f3nEV_Ux…

Proudly introduce the new Overview Dashboard to @proxyman_app 😁 The best-in-class web debugging proxy app, alternative to Charles Proxy It's a place you can monitor what is going on from your Mac, e.g. what is the slowest requests, download/upload bandwidth over time It's ship on v26.1.0 ✌️

i'm in love with this animation that @asmitbm put together. we are building the compute and storage productivity substrate that the world is going to need, and this work captures it well tuist.dev/globe

Say hi 👋 to the new Tuist. Today we are rebranding Tuist. We started as a small command line tool that made Xcode projects easier to reason about, and somewhere along the way we turned into build infrastructure, so the brand stopped matching what the company had actually become. This rebrand is us putting a flag in the ground for where we're headed. With more code now being written in parallel and across environments, it became clear that optimizing build and test runs would stop being a problem only large enterprises had to deal with. To prepare for that future, we took a two-dimensional approach to the problem, one that lets us keep providing the experience we've always strived to give our users. First, we needed to go all the way down to the bare metal and own and deploy our own hardware, and that's what we're doing: taking that responsibility away from organizations, and provisioning environments for agentic sessions, CI builds, and remotely executed build and test run graphs. M5 Pros are coming. Second, we grew beyond the @Apple ecosystem. The new Tuist reaches across Xcode, @gradle and @bazelbuild, because the problem we are solving, which is that builds and test runs are too slow and infrastructure is too hard to run yourself, is not an iOS problem, it is an engineering problem that every team with a large enough codebase eventually runs into no matter what language or platform they build for. We want fast builds and fast tests to be something every team gets to have. Put those two dimensions together and what you get is closer to a virtual platform team than a developer tool, the kind of caching, execution and insight a real platform team would spend a year building internally, except it already exists and plugs into whatever you are running today. AI moves fast, and the teams shipping the most code with agents right now are the ones whose infrastructure can actually keep pace with how fast an agent can write, compile and test, instead of quietly becoming the bottleneck nobody notices until it is too late. We want remote caching and execution available to anyone, from anywhere, for any build toolchain out there. tuist.dev

Agents taking actions on behalf of users will soon be a new reality, and we are preparing for it at @tuistdev. Once we ship this, agents will be able to register on behalf of users, who can claim the account later: github.com/tuist/tuist/pull/…

It's so cool to see our @tuistdev users showing interest in our CI runners offering. Many came to Tuist motivated by generated projects, and they are now genuinely interested in any new solution we put out there.

With the throughput of released product features increasing, I think we deserve a better pattern than a periodic digest, where I (the user) might end up receiving updates on features I'm not interested in. At @tuistdev, we are working on giving users control over that:

EXCLUSIVE: Apple and the EU are telling very different stories on Siri AI, and right now, it's a standoff. Apple's press release and comments to @LelloucheNico say the DMA would force it to give rival assistants deep access to messages, files, photos, app actions, and personal context, creating privacy/security risks. I reached out to the EU Commission for comment, and they discussed it today (video below). They said nothing in the DMA blocks Siri AI. Apple can launch it if it complies, but it must give rivals "equivalent access" and can’t use iOS to favour its own AI. Apple proposed a “Trusted System Agent” and an 18-month rollout to ensure only approved third-party agents could run. The Commission says they weren't "DMA-compliant interoperability proposals." Whatever that means. This is a standoff over who controls the AI layer on iPhone. The EU isn’t protecting user choice here. It’s trying to regulate the iPhone’s AI layer, and EU users are the ones losing out. iPhone users can already download ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity. Apps like @poppysimplified can use your Mac to get system-level access for AI assistant apps. The EU is demanding default, system-level access for any third-party app that claims to be an AI assistant. Which is dangerous, especially given Apple's privacy-focused AI stance. Apple, respectably, is not bowing down.

If you combine this with @tuistdev . You can even start new and maintain Xcode projects without Xcode
