Trans identified men are on massive doses of cross sex hormones, are you not aware of this? What do you think the risk is if a child is ingesting this directly vs skin contact, particularly a tiny baby. What parent would take that risk?

As parents in a state which already has a conversion practices ban, we have direct lived experience of the chilling effect this has had on accessing neutral exploratory therapy for gender distressed children. It is time that @abcnews also included parents who want therapy and exploration prioritised for this vulnerable group, rather than a medical pathway whose evidence base has been repeatedly found weak. In December 2025, Editorial Director Gavin Fang told PAGD the ABC would contact us for “appropriate” stories. This is one. When will you include our perspective? @ABCmediawatch @mbachelard @PatrickElligett @rachelbaxendale @IngridStitt

I had my appointment with the Cleveland Clinic Detrans Clinic. I met with the head of the Detrans Clinic as well as a plastic surgeon and his assistant. This time I wasn't asked about my pronouns, I was asked about my transition history and medical history, as well as my medical goals. I described the complication with my chest (its so hard and painful everytime) and my goals for removal of breast tissue and reconstruction. The doctors said they will discuss my case at their bi monthly meeting and get back to me. I was left feeling pretty hopeful. They seemed to understand what I was talking about as far as my medical needs and issues. They described them back to me. Scans and imaging and etc are being sent over by me so that they have more information. I will keep everyone updated.

The position of the Sex Discrimination Commissioner should not come as a surprise and in fact is the only position that she can take in order to try be consistent and coherent to herself and others given her overarching views and opinions. We must understand that the position she expressed is the only position one can organically arrive at, if one - as she does- a) conflates sex and gender identity b) disregards the material reality of women in favor of women being a feeling or an identity. c) disregards that certain reproductive processes are tied to being of a certain sex. I have genuinely tried to understand this position and to debate it with her to no avail. There is one point where we fundamentally differ and that I think underpins her positions on this: Commissioner Cody believes that if we were to recognize that women and girls have historically been discriminated against based on their sex (intersecting with other grounds), that would mean that we accept that that this discrimination is biologically determined and that this discrimination is acceptable or justified. This reasoning is flawed. We would not follow the same logic with any other form of discrimination, say for example racial discrimination. Naming that black people are often and have been often discriminated against because they are black does not suggest that such discrimination is justified, nor a tacit acceptance of it, nor does it suggest that they should be forever locked in a condition of being racially discriminated against. The answer to a serious problem cannot be to stop naming the cause, in the hope that this cause would magically go away or that its impact on the lives of people would soften or vanish.
Sex Discrimination Commissioner Anna Cody at Senate estimates said that protections designed to protect breastfeeding women from being discriminated against would also extend to “induced lactation in a biological male”. Read the full story: bit.ly/4zb29gC

Do you remember this? @AdamBandt accused women of being N@zis and @NickMcKim called women turds in Parliament. It directly led to violence against women. teapawt.org/twanchovy/status/21133…
Don't forget it was Australian politicians who painted a target on the back of women, which directly led to violence against them in NZ.

@Mark_Butler_MP can't position himself and his department as neutral while allowing regulatory bodies, like @Ahpra, to control and suppress debate. teapawt.org/pagd_vic/status/211384…
Australians, including clinicians and parents, have also lost their jobs and faced threats and restrictions for voicing evidence-based concerns in regard to ‘gender affirming care’. @Mark_Butler_MP needs to ensure that open dialogue is not just allowed but encouraged in an area of medicine he himself described as ‘a highly contested and still evolving area of clinical practice’. @ABCmediawatch @mbachelard @PatrickElligett @rachelbaxendale @IngridStitt @nhmrc

Not to mention that that the violence they experienced and faced in Melbourne was not mentioned by them or the media. A woman was knocked unconscious.

"A spokeswoman for Parents of Adolescents with Gender Distress said Mr Chua’s conduct “raises legitimate questions about the APS’s standards of professional communication, understanding of the contested topic of gender distress and its accountability to its members, parents and the public”. “Parents of adolescents experiencing gender distress need professional bodies that prioritise rigorous evidence, open discussion of risks and benefits, and respect for the complexity of these presentations,” the spokeswoman said. “Suggesting that a parent who questions contested policy may be endangering their child undermines trust and discourages the very dialogue required for safe, ethical care. “With the board member involved in that troubling and unsatisfactory correspondence now elected president-elect (and on track to become president), and with no apparent change to the concerning position statement, we must assume the APS is no longer safe for clinicians or parents questioning the gender-affirming route.”

As well as offering an opportunity for an investigation into @ahpra’s obvious bias, this could also allow detransitoners compensation without traumatic, and expensive, litigation.

🚨 THE OVERTON WINDOW IS SHIFTING IN TASMANIA! The conversation about parental rights, the medicalisation of children and the risks of the gender affirmation approach is not going away. It is just beginning! @TasLiberal @jeremyrockliff @TasmanianLabor @TasmanianGreens @Bernard_Lane @theAustralian @abcnews Federal Liberal Senator Eric Abetz has spoken out against Tasmania’s proposed Conversion Practices Bill, raising concerns about free speech, family discussions and the international shift in attitudes towards the affirmation agenda. 🎥 Eric Abetz said: “Young people are now suing governments and institutions over the puberty blockers administered to them and the promotion of the affirmation agenda, rather than in-depth counselling and consideration of the issues they are confronting.” These are issues that deserve open debate, proper scrutiny and serious consideration — not legislation that risks restricting what families, parents and professionals can say. Tasmanians are speaking up. The debate is growing. And it will not be silenced. ✍️ Sign our petition calling for a proper parliamentary inquiry into conversion practices in Tasmania. 🙏 #Transgender #Detransition #Kinderschutz #Gender #Psychologie
