Not every ESPN legend was behind a microphone.
Stosh Cienki was the backbone of ESPN Radio for 25 years. He deserves to be remembered.

Christian Yelich told me that every spring he’d block off 4-5 hours for a dinner with Bob Uecker to hear his stories. So as the Brewers prepare to play in the World Series, Yelich has found himself thinking about his close friend.
“He would have loved getting to experience this postseason run and being here for it,” Yelich said. “In a lot of ways, we feel like he’s still here with us.” fansided.com/mlb/brewers-wor…

I was fortunate to spend one night after a day game in Pittsburgh with Dale Sveum, who managed our @AltoonaCurve team when i was there, but as coaching for the @Brewers at the time, and Ueck came into the bar and what was a great night became epic and legendary. Thank you Ueck, just a bit outside. LEGEND @ParneyTime

We took the Ice Bucket Challenge today in order to raise awareness again for ALS. Only for our @vcu_saac leadership would I agree to have a cold bucket dumped on me in 50-degree weather. @uri_saac and @vtsaac you’re up, and grab your ADs too!! #icebucketchallenge #LetsGoVCU

@ARizzo44 would sit in his locker laughing in the middle of a slump. A teammate asked why he was smiling when he stunk.
“Because this is what makes the good so much better.” 💙 Beating cancer at 18 changed everything.

Stosh was truly the absolute best. Take a moment to read through the beautiful tributes honoring an incredible man who meant so much to so many.
He was an absolute joy to work with. Prayers and love to his family.
Longtime ESPN Radio producer Stosh Cienki has sadly passed away at 52. He spent over two decades in Bristol and was loved behind the scenes at @espnradio. Colleagues remembered one of the network's most positive forces and steady professionals.

Awful news. Truly a gentle soul with a heart of gold. Stosh produced The Baseball Show on ESPN radio with me and @StevePhillipsGM for years. Such a tragedy for one of the ultimate teammates!! Prayers and love to his family.

In case you'd rather watch the Q&A with Blades, it's now up on YouTube:

Hung out virtually with Blades Brown this morning and riffed about a wide variety of topics:
• What the KFT really taught him
• Did he commit to a college after all?
• Monopoly, and why he calls his dad the Sensei
• What his dad's cancer battle has taught him
• The time he clapped for Scottie on Sunday at AmEx
• His go-to breakfast hack
• The most underrated player he's played with
