No. From the curl - v response it's giving a 403 because of some cloudflare challenge that's not being met. Fair enough (the Web is a cesspit), and my phone is very old. I'll try on my proper up to date desktop later. Thanks for your tips.

I can't download the actual report keep getting 403 for some reason. Going off the comments heard from the Ombudsman thus morning on RN. Butler's very general media release not worth the paper it's written on imo. Sorry, but I think Sam Rae is a slimy consultant type full of bs.

Sam Rae is failing the public. The actual function of this so called assessment system is to enforce a queue to access available aged care capacity. Residential aged care is full. Do you think the providers would be copping this rubbish if they had vacancies? #agedcare #auspol

Tried to download both the report and media release about aged care assessment from the Govt ombudsman. Got a 403 not authorised. Could website admin for ombudsmans site please rectify public access? Thanks in advance. The boss is on RN now talking about it. #auspol #agedcare

If I have this right Minister for Aged Care & Seniors, Sam Rae (catapulted into the Ministry by @RichardMarlesMP) oversaw the algorithm for assessing care packages damned by the Ombudsman & also let aged care operators price gouge in a sweetheart deal. #AgedCare #auspol

Despite Ombudsman report, ongoing refusal by Sam Rae & Mark Butler to allow human beings to override the automated assessment disaster they are responsible for. Poor political judgement if they think this isn't going to seriously damage the Govt where it hurts. #agedcare #auspol

Complete absence of any legal platform liability for foisting harmful products and services upon the public is the problem. Unlike any other product. It urgently needs legislation & enforcement.

So basically, big tech companies can do whatever the hell they want. Spy on you, steal IP, create super-tools for criminals, violate TOS by banning people at will, it doesn’t matter. It’s just the Wild West for a fascist nerds.

Sure, and the platforms are free to not implement those protections. Their past behavior would suggest they're not going to unless forced to by law. And sure, everything is easier said than done, so what? Useful bots could be registered to an accountable person/organisation.

Ditto in Australia.

Good call. Hotels provide employment and are regulated. When you're on holiday, of course you want to be looked after. Win-win. Airbnb sucks.

On this platform, we can amplify (retweet) or like. Why can't we have a response that indicates "unacceptable" or "disgust"? Then moderation could be automated. For this to work we desperately need to get rid of bots (automated accounts) & be able to make use of geospatial info.

Anyone know why the pimped out iphone duo 2TB Australian pricing is $5,900 when American rrp is $3,200usd? At current exchange rates that's nearly 20% more than what it should be including GST. Australian retailers and/or Apple price gouging? Because we are stupid enough to pay?

Yeah. Hard to imagine Bill Clinton looks back on Section 230 of the 1996 Communications Decency Act as one of his finest moments. It green lighted the complete freedom of the Tech bros to let their platforms run wild. And here we are: digitalcommons.law.villanova… #auspol #insiders

Good question from Niki Savva: you can't get a letter threatening to kill someone published in printed media; why is electronic media different? AFP Commish Barrett: making threats of violence isn't free speech. Is Tech Bro party time over? It's long overdue. #insiders #auspol

Technology mediated social communication has run wild for decades. We ignored what there was to learn from the Christchurch mosque atrocity -- committed by an Australian -- who self-radicalised online & was not mentally ill. It's not a question of if we regulate but how. #auspol
